(Minghui.org) Two Wuyishan City, Fujian Province residents have been sentenced for their faith in Falun Gong, an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Li Junying, in her 50s, and Ms. Lin Jinjiao, 46, were arrested on April 11, 2019 for talking to people about Falun Gong. The police took Ms. Li’s home key and ransacked her place. The police have been monitoring them for more than a year before making the arrests.

Both women were sent to Nanping Detention Center on April 15, 2019, and they have been held there since.

The two practitioners appeared in court on November 14, 2019 and testified in their own defense. The judge sentenced both of them to 3.5 years in prison on January 17, 2020.

Ms. Lin is appealing the verdict, but due to the travel ban, her lawyer, who lives in another city, is unable to go to the court to work on her case.
