(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in ten provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Song Cuiping Sentenced

Ms. Song Cuiping, an employee of the Xishan Mining Bureau, is being held in the Gujiao Women’s Detention Center. She was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term in late January 2020, and has since appealed.

2. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhong Mingshuang, Mr. Liu Yuliang, and Ms. Feng Cuixia were arrested by officers from the Shihetou Town Police Station on March 30, 2020, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jing Shuying's Case Passed to Procuratorate

Ms. Jing Shuying, 83, was arrested by officers from the Chaoyang Police Department on January 31, 2020, for posting stickers which contained information about the persecution of Falun Gong.

The police confiscated Falun Dafa books and paper currency bills with messages about Falun Gong printed on them.

Ms. Jing's case was passed to the Procuratorate on March 23.

4. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Du Zhaocai and His Wife Ms. Wu Ruifang Appeal Sentences

Mr. Du Zhaocai and his wife Ms. Wu Ruifang were each sentenced to six-year prison terms on December 3, 2019. They appealed, and their cases were sent to the Qingdao Intermediate Court on March 20, 2020.

Mr. Du is being held in the Jiaozhou Detention Center. Ms. Wu is being held in the Jimopudong Detention Center. The couple has been detained for over one and a half years.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Facing Trial

The Yilan County Procuratorate brought the cases of Ms. Zhang Guiyun, Ms. Zhang Xiuying, and Ms. Chen Shoumei to the Yilan County Court on February 12, 2020. The three practitioners are being held in the No. 2 Detention Center.

6. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Mr. Wang Xinrong and Ms. Yang Xiurong Arrested

Mr. Wang Xinrong and Ms. Yang Xiurong were arrested by officers from the Feishan Police Station on March 18, 2020, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their Falun Gong informational materials were confiscated.

7. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Lu Jinyou Detained

Mr. Lu Jinyou was arrested at home by the head of Zhuozhou City Domestic Security Division Liang Yufeng (梁玉峰), and other officers on March 18, 2020. Mr. Lu was taken to the Zhuozhou Detention Center.

8. [Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Rangfang's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Liu Rangfang was recently sentenced to a three-year prison term. Her whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Rongsen Arrested

Mr. Yang Yunsen, an engineer at Sinopec Southwest Petroleum, was arrested on March 25, 2020, when he was going through a security checkpoint at the Chengdu Railway Station on his way to his hometown in Ziyang. Paper currency bills which had messages about Falun Gong on them were confiscated.

Mr. Yang hands were cuffed behind his back, and he was taken to the Chengdu Railway Police Department on March 27. His Falun Gong books and informational materials were confiscated.

10. [Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shen Liying Arrested

Ms. Shen Liying was arrested by police officers in early March 2020, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked, and Falun Gong books confiscated.

11. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Li Yaping and Ms. Li Weiping Arrested

Ms. Li Yaping and her sister Ms. Li Weiping were arrested by officers from the Chayuan Police Station on March 29, 2020. Ms. Li Weiping's husband, a non-practitioner, was also arrested. Their home was ransacked. 

12. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Zhipeng and Ms. Zhao Jie Detained

Mr. Yang Zhipeng and Ms. Zhao Jie were arrested on March 25, 2020, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their computers were confiscated. They are being held in the Deyang City Detention Center.

13. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Yanqin was arrested at home by officers from the Yungang District Police Department and Kouquan Police Station on March 25, 2020. Her home was ransacked, and a laptop computer and cell phone were confiscated.

Ms. Dai Xiurong was also arrested, but was released later that evening due to high blood pressure.

Ms. Wang Shuwen was arrested the same day, and was released later that evening.

14. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cui Xiuqin and Ms. Wang Jingli Arrested

Ms. Cui Xiuqin's home was ransacked on February 21, 2020. The police confiscated a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, ID card, Falun Dafa books, cell phones, and over 2,000 yuan in cash.

Ms. Wang Jingli's home was also ransacked, and a laptop computer, ID card, mobile phone, informational materials, and more than 800 yuan in cash were confiscated.
