(Minghui.org) May 13, 2020 is the 28th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction and the 21st World Falun Dafa Day. County Executive Steuart L. Pittman of Anne Arundel, Maryland issued a proclamation declaring May 13, 2020, World Falun Dafa Day in the county.

“Falun Dafa is a spiritual practice that millions around the world have made a part of their lives. Rooted in Buddhist tradition, it consists of self-improvement through the study of teachings, gentle exercises, and meditation,” the proclamation reads.
“At the core of Falun Dafa are the values of Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance. Many feel that in Falun Dafa, they have found a deeply rewarding spiritual path and Falun Dafa is taught free of charge and is open to all.”
“Local Falun Dafa practitioners have touched the lives of many residents through workshops, classes, and cultural programs, enriching the lives of residents in the greater Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area.”
“World Falun Dafa Day honors Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of the practice, and recognizes the Falun Dafa practitioners’ peaceful, yet courageous and resilient protest against the Chinese communist regime's persecution.
“Now, Therefore, I, Steuart L. Pittman, County Executive, do hereby proclaim May 13, 2020 as World Falun Dafa Day in Anne Arundel County and call upon all of our citizens to practice Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance in their daily lives.”
