(Minghui.org) I left China for Canada at the start of 2020 and gradually immersed myself in our local cultivation environment. With the onset of the CCP virus (Covid-19), a stay-at-home order was announced in April 2020. I began to participate in the Global Telephone Rescue Platform, placing calls to China to rescue practitioners who have been recently arrested in mainland China, as well as clarifying the facts to people in the police, procuratorate and judicial systems.
When I first made calls to people associated with the Chinese police, the procuratorate and judicial departments, I held a lot of fear and could feel my heart pounding. Although I couldn’t calm down, I seized the time to awaken people’s conscience. I had wasted a lot of precious time when I lived in China. The relaxed environment overseas was a wonderful opportunity for me to awaken the conscience of the prosecutors.
One time, I clarified the facts to a police officer. While talking, I couldn’t hold back my tears and he heard me weeping. After I told him about quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations, he asked me how to do it. His question filled my heart with joy and gratitude. I truly appreciated Master for arranging for him to quit the CCP through me, as it encouraged me to do the three things well and fulfill my vow.
I made calls every day and spoke to all kinds of people, which truly tempered my xinxing and helped me see my attachments and notions. Through learning from fellow practitioners and awakening the conscience of sentient beings, my xinxing improved bit by bit. For instance, previously, when police officers cursed at me, my competitive mentality would flare up. Later on, in the same situation, my heart was completely unmoved whether they swore at me or not. Without encountering the difficult situations on the platform, it’d have been impossible for me to reach such a state.

A major aim of the Global Telephone Rescue Team is to rescue practitioners in detention in mainland China, as well as to clarify the facts to people in the police, procuratorate and judicial systems who are about to illegally prosecute these practitioners. As we strove to rescue fellow practitioners, we were also able to save people who have participated in the persecution.
I enlightened that the process of rescuing fellow practitioners is not just for cultivating, but, more importantly, it’s to have us learn how to work together and take on responsibility for clarifying the truth and rescuing practitioners. Sometimes, we received very limited information to the point where we didn’t know which police station a practitioner was illegally detained in, or whether they had even been taken to a detention center.
We made the best use of our time and worked closely with one another. The coordinator was responsible for overall direction and dividing up the tasks between the team members. Some looked for more information pertaining to the case itself, such as relevant phone numbers; some made calls right away to clarify the facts; some sent text messages with pictures attached. Sometimes, it required practitioners to take turns awakening the conscience of people who have participated in the persecution. We formed one body and cooperated with each other.

“You should be noble and high-minded, and cooperate well with others. It’s not about whose idea is the best. When someone’s idea isn’t great, or all that well thought out, you should quietly and discreetly find a way to help make it work, and help get all the bases covered! That will be what earns you the admiration of divine beings, and you will have done it without saying anything! Who came up with the idea is not what’s important, but rather, who has fully developed himself through the process; whoever works on himself has grown from it.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2019 New York Fa Conference,” Team Yellow Translation)
During the process of clarifying the truth and rescuing fellow practitioners, we tried not to be attached to the outcome. When we rescued a practitioner, we felt truly happy not only for the practitioner but also for those people we talked to in China for having made the right decision after learning the truth. We truly appreciated Master for having arranged this opportunity for us to awaken the conscience of sentient beings. Meanwhile, we were fulfilling our vows in the project and elevating ourselves in Dafa.
The coordinator of the Global Telephone Rescue Platform asked me to be a host of the weekly sharing of the whole project meeting. I truly appreciated Master’s benevolent arrangement and felt very honored to take on this role.
I came to realize that there were some differences between being a practitioner who shared and being a host. On the one hand, through being a host, I gradually was able to let go of my fear of speaking in public. On the other hand, it forced me to learn to listen to every practitioner’s sharing carefully, and to look inward to see if I had the same issues. When nobody was willing to share, I’d encourage them to speak out using the Fa principles I’d enlightened to.

“Study the Fa and gain the Fa,Focus on how you study and cultivate,Let each and every thingbe measured against the Fa.Only then, with that,is it actually cultivation.” (“Solid Cultivation” from Hong Yin, Translation Version A)
I came to enlighten that behind every improvement in our xinxing and elevation in Fa principles is Master’s immense compassion. Thus we should share with fellow practitioners openly whenever we enlighten to something.
In addition, as a host, one should keep righteous thoughts and have a clear understanding of the Fa principles at all times so as not to mislead others in the sharing process. When there are issues where practitioners deviate from Dafa, a host should point this out in a timely manner. To accomplish this requires me as a host to cultivate diligently in my day-to-day life, which in turn helps me strive forward vigorously in my cultivation.
