(Minghui.org) “Today, Dafa practitioners of Bavaria, Germany, come to the Chinese Consulate in Munich to support Dafa practitioners in Hong Kong. We strongly condemn the attacks on Falun Dafa information sites in Hong Kong and the CCP's manipulation behind it, and we call on the German government and society to pay attention,” a Falun Dafa practitioner read an open letter during a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Consulate in Munich on April 15, 2021.

Practitioners gathered at the Chinese consulate to condemn the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which is behind more than 10 recent attacks on Falun Dafa information sites in Hong Kong, including threatening practitioners with knives and splashing liquid on printed materials and on elderly practitioners.

The letter expressed support for Falun Dafa practitioners in Hong Kong and respect for their persistent efforts to raise awareness of the CCP’s crimes and resist the persecution of Falun Dafa.
According to Minghui.org, thugs have attacked at least six Falun Dafa information booths in different areas of Hong Kong more than 10 times since April 2. The thugs used knives to threaten the practitioners and damaged many banners and display boards. Some elderly practitioners were doused with liquid and were threatened that they would be set on fire.
The open letter called on the German government and German citizens to help stop the CCP from extending its brutal persecution into Hong Kong and to protect freedom of speech and personal safety in Hong Kong.
Sebastian, a German practitioner, said that he was lucky that the protest in Germany was safe but the same action in China would bring the participants great danger. “In China, a practitioner may be dismissed from their job, have their marriage destroyed, their family broken, and possibly be jailed, tortured or murdered.”
Sebastian said the unfolding situation in Hong Kong is a warning for the world's people of what happens when the CCP extends its power. “I am lucky that Germany is still a free country. Hong Kong used to be free. The world can see that people lose their freedom when Communist China increases its influence to other regions and countries.” He added, “I condemn the attacks, and the world needs to pay attention to what's happening in Hong Kong.”
Practitioner Chen Gang cited another difference between Germany and Hong Kong: “The police in Germany protect us when we organize an activity. The police will stop anyone who wants to make trouble for us,” he said.
In contrast, Chen pointed out, “Hong Kong police received reports and it should be easy for them to arrest the attackers [of Falun Dafa information booths]. I read that Hong Kong police did arrest someone but I never heard of anything being done. I believe the police in Hong Kong received orders from the CCP not to protect Falun Dafa.”
He said, “The CCP openly broke its promise of ‘one country, two systems,’ so we can’t trust any promises made by the Chinese Communist Party.”
