(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in the Netherlands protested outside the Chinese Embassy in Den Haag on April 22. They commemorated the April 25 Appeal, a peaceful appeal calling on the Chinese government in 1999 to not arrest practitioners.
Local authorities approved two locations for the rally, one of them outside the front gate of the Chinese Embassy.
Six Falun Gong practitioners arrived at the front gate of the embassy with two large display boards. A representative read an open letter addressed to all the embassy staff. It covered the history of the appeal on April 25, 1999, facts about the persecution of Falun Gong, and the crime of involuntary organ harvesting. The letter urged the embassy staff to listen to the truth and quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
More than 20 Chinese waiting outside the embassy had the chance to hear the speech and read the display boards. Some of them said, “We already knew these things. But it’s hopeless. The CCP is always like this.”
Two dozen practitioners rallied at the other side of the embassy. They set up banners and display boards along the sidewalk and demonstrated the exercises to protest the persecution.

The so-called “Zero-out Campaign” has been going on since last year. The goal of that CCP campaign is to force every Falun Gong practitioner on the government's blacklist to renounce their faith.
According to the Minghui website, officers from the Haikou City Railway Police Department arrested Mr. Zhao Fenghui on the afternoon of April 7 and attempted to arrest his wife Ms. Chang Hong, also a Falun Gong practitioner, that same night. The police failed to break into the house but disrupted the neighborhood for a long time. Ms. Chang had to leave home and go into hiding to avoid further harassment.
Practitioners in the Netherlands called on the Chinese government to stop harassing Ms. Chang Hong and release Mr. Zhao Fenghui immediately.
Thugs directed by the CCP have harassed practitioners and damaged displays at many Falun Gong truth-clarification sites in Hong Kong nine times since April 3rd.

More than 20 practitioners set up a Falun Gong information site near the Parliament Building on the afternoon of April 22. They delivered fliers to the Prime Minister, several ministers, and MPs, and staff in the Parliament Building.

April 25, 1999, is a significant date for China and Falun Gong practitioners. On that day, approximately 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners traveled to Beijing to appeal to the regime's leadership after practitioners in Tianjin were illegally arrested for their belief. The Tianjin practitioners were released following the peaceful appeal, but three months later, on July 20, 1999, then-leader Jiang Zemin launched a nationwide persecution campaign against Falun Gong that continues to this day.
