For distributing informational materials about Falun Gong, she was arrested on October 11, 2001 and detained for 45 days.
Ms. Wang was arrested for the fifth time on May 30, 2002 and later sentenced to five years by the Honggang District Court. She was tortured and held in solitary confinement at the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison.
