(Minghui.org) I received a text message at 3 p.m. Beijing time on May 13 from the daughter of a Falun Dafa practitioner, saying her practitioner father had been arrested and his whereabouts were unknown.
Her father had had money extorted from him and his home ransacked many times. He had also been arrested, sent to a forced labor camp, and jailed. The day he was released from jail, the officers with local law enforcement, the police station, and the community center demanded to see him and told him that, according to the government’s new regulations, anyone released from jail had to submit to “re-education” for five years and Falun Gong practitioners were required to write a statement guaranteeing they’d give up the practice. He had to flee his home to avoid further harassment.
The officers said that they’d been ordered by their superiors to arrest him.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and former leader Jiang Zemin staged the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident to slander Falun Dafa in order to deceive the Chinese along with the rest of the world. Falun Dafa, a cultivation way of the Buddha School, is based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. It teaches people to elevate their moral standards and improves health.
His daughter gave me the phone number for the local police station at 4 p.m., and I called immediately. I asked them if they’d arrested that practitioner. The person who answered the phone was a young officer. He asked me to meet with the officer in charge in person. He hung up when he learned that I was a relative from overseas, as well as a Falun Dafa practitioner.
I called him again and said, “Why did you arrest him? You’re committing a crime by persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. The CCP has no regard for human rights. The whole world is sanctioning the CCP. Can you afford it?” I demanded that they release the practitioner. He was afraid and said, “I don’t know anything. Don’t talk to me about these things.”
I asked him if he was on duty. When he said he was, I responded, “Then you are responsible for passing on my message. That is your duty. Record my message.”
“Ok, I will pass it on,” he said.
“Tell your director to release that practitioner immediately,” I said. “Citizens in China have freedom of belief. That practitioner hasn’t violated the constitution or any law in China. Over one hundred countries and regions support Falun Dafa. The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong will investigate your police station, related organizations, and individuals. They will bring the investigation to full closure no matter how long it takes and no matter how far and deep they have to search.”
“Please don’t frighten me,” he said.
“I am not trying to frighten you, young man. They will do that. Please pass this entire message to your director. Thank you!”
“Ok, I will pass it on.”
“You will be rewarded,” I told him. “And thank you again.”
Our conversation lasted about five minutes.
The practitioner returned home at about 6 p.m. The police had learned the facts about Falun Dafa and chosen a bright future for themselves.
