(Minghui.org) Six years ago, I went back to my village for some farm work. I brought my cell phone with me so I could make phone calls to let people know the truth about Falun Dafa.

When I got home, I put my phone down and went to a fellow practitioner’s home. She asked me to stay overnight as it was raining. If I went back home I would need to take time to light the fire pit for heat.

When we were ready to call it a night, I remembered that I had left my cell phone at home. I then knew I should eliminate the attachment to comfort and focus on helping people.

I decided to go home and make truth clarification phone calls to save people. I persevered through the difficulty and got home safely.

There were no streetlights in the countryside and it was raining, but I overcame those obstacles. Master (Falun Dafa's founder) helped me when I really wanted to tell people the facts about Falun Dafa.

I made nine phone calls that night and helped six people quit the Chinese Community Party (CCP) and its affiliations.

It’s exactly like Master said,

“Cultivation depends on one’s own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one’s master.” (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)

I started making phone calls to clarify the truth to people in the morning on Chinese New Year’s Day in 2015. I said “Happy New Year” first.

I then told them how Falun Dafa is a Buddha School cultivation method, and that Dafa’s Master told us to be kind and selfless people. I also told them that I regained my health through practicing Falun Dafa.

I explained how the self-immolation hoax in Tiananmen Square was staged to defame Falun Dafa, and I also talked about the mystical “Hidden Character Stone” in Guizhou.

I talked about how six clearly-formed Chinese characters are visible on its surface, reading, “The Chinese Communist Party Will Perish.” I told them that the CCP will be eliminated by Heaven, and it is safe to quit the CCP.

I made more than a dozen phone calls and eight people quit the CCP. The result was my best at the time.

I sometimes made various excuses and didn’t seize the time to clarify the truth to help people like other fellow practitioners.

One day my MP5 player was not working. I looked inward and realized that I hadn't gone out to clarify the truth in several days.

I therefore quickly corrected myself and went out to clarify the truth face-to-face and help people quit the CCP. When I returned home, the MP5 worked like nothing had happened.

Two years ago, a fellow practitioner in my area was monitored by the police because he didn’t pay attention to mobile phone safety. As a result, more than twenty fellow practitioners were arrested.

My daughter didn’t allow me to go out after hearing this. I also had some negative thoughts at that time.

But I remembered Master said:

“So to cultivate you have to look at things in reverse.” (“2018 Fa Teaching Given in Washington, D.C.”)

I knew it was not the true me having the attachments of fear, selfishness, and self-protection. I knew I needed to get rid of these things.

We have the mission to help people as Dafa practitioners in the Fa rectification period, so I told my daughter that I must go out. After hearing my sincere words, she no longer stopped me.

On my way to a fellow practitioner’s home, whenever I met people I told them the truth about Falun Dafa. Those few people seemed to be waiting for me to talk to them.

In just ten minutes, four people quit the CCP. I know that Master sent predestined people to me upon seeing that I had the heart to help them.

One day, I found I couldn't help anyone to quit the CCP, and I immediately felt that something must be wrong.

Master told us:

“For a cultivator, looking within is a magical tool.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2009 Washington DC International Fa Conference,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. IX)

I looked inward after sending righteous thoughts, and I discovered my attachments of avoiding criticism, showing off, jealousy, the competitive mentality, resentment, and being lazy.

I then denied these things as I recognized that those attachments weren’t my true self but were imposed on me by the old forces.

After I found those attachments and committed my mind to eliminating them, when I went out to clarify the truth again, people were once again willing to quit the CCP.

Cultivation is very serious. Each human attachment will hinder us from moving forward in cultivation. We must therefore listen to Master and be genuine Dafa practitioners.
