(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in London hung up banners and set up tables in Chinatown on October 11 to expose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 23-year-long persecution of the cultivation practice to passersby. Many Londoners signed a petition that will be submitted to Parliament. They said that the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong must stop.

Susanna and Chris walked past the venue with their three sons. They noticed the words on the banner, read the introduction on the signature form, and signed it without another thought.
“I read the banner that said that the CCP is harvesting organs from people,” Susanna said. “I felt obliged to support these innocent people. This is the first time I’ve heard about this, and I am sad and horrified. The CCP must stop the persecution immediately.”
“The Chinese Communist Party must stop organ harvesting from living practitioners,” Chris said. “I hope the British government can put pressure on the CCP. I am shocked to hear about this persecution.”

Simon is a London-based psychiatrist. He walked around Chinatown. “I don’t know much about Falun Gong, but the persecution is horrifying. The cruelty is beyond people’s imagination. The CCP government is evil.”
Joshua said, “I passed by and saw the ‘Organ Harvesting from Living People’ banner. I knew it was for real, so I signed the petition to support these protesters. Regarding the CCP’s organ harvesting from living practitioners, I’d heard about it a few times in the media. It’s completely wrong. Even though the cultures of the East and West are different, that is not allowed.”
His friend Elisha said with certainty: “This is immoral and unethical. They [the CCP] must stop it.”

“We have to stop the crime of organ harvesting,” Alex said. “I’d heard about it before. Organ harvesting from living people is totally wrong. Those innocent people are totally defenseless.”
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology. On July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems, and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Gong.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution perpetrated during the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
