(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners from Hanover and surrounding areas in Germany held an activity near the Hanover train station to introduce the meditative practice to people and condemn the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.
Practitioners hoped people who passed by would express their stance about the persecution through a petition that called on the German Government to publicly oppose the CCP’s persecution and its state-sanctioned organ harvesting from living practitioners. Many people signed the petition.

Markus K., of Turkish descent, works for Volkswagen. After signing the petition, he accepted a brief interview. He said he signed the petition because the CCP’s organ harvesting in China is terrible. Markus noticed the book “China’s Hope” at the booth and then learned that lawyer Gao Zhisheng had been persecuted for speaking up for Falun Gong practitioners.
“It’s not right to imprison a lawyer who stands up for Falun Gong [practitioners],” Markus said.
Markus said Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance “sound like they teach people to be honest, decent, polite, and sincere in dealing with others. These are all related to being a good person. You [Falun Gong practitioners] stress human nature, not money.” Markus also said that he sometimes has conflicts with others at work and was not tolerant.
The practitioner advised him to remain kind to people. Before he left, Markus said, “I can learn a lot from you.”
A girl in her late teens signed the petition and then said, “If I can change something, if I can provide some help in any way, of course I am willing to do so.” The practitioner told her about Falun Gong’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and the girl said, “I think these principles are very good. I think everyone should live and act according to them, and the world would be a better place.”
Tina is in her second year of a nursing internship. She learned a lot about the persecution through the practitioners’ activities and she signed the petition. She did not think it was right to make money from people’s organs.
Tina also said that if everyone could live according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the situation wouldn’t be what it is now.
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
