(Minghui.org) During efforts to rescue illegally detained Falun Dafa practitioners, my responsibility was to communicate with the families of those taken away. I steadily walked on my cultivation path under the guidance and protection of Master Li Hongzhi (Dafa’s founder).
Communicating with the imprisoned practitioners’ family members requires sincerity, kindness, and perseverance. When facing instances of being scolded and forced out of their homes, I was not discouraged. I stayed calm and tried to help them. The process was not easy, but in the end, the family members accepted Dafa and understood how important it was to expose the evildoers.
In order to rescue practitioner Ailan a few years ago, I went to her relative’s home. Her brother-in-law said that I was disturbing them. Several groups of other practitioners had tried before and failed to get the family’s support. When I arrived, the brother-in-law was angry and tried to drive me away, saying that he was going to call the police.
I told him kindly, “I’m here to help you find a lawyer for Ailan. We need to work together and have righteous thoughts to rescue your sister.” Before I could finish, he poured a basin of water over me. I continued to say calmly, “My Master tells us not to hit back when being attacked, or talk back when being insulted. I don’t blame you for what you just did to me. I only want to help you.” Seemingly embarrassed, he invited me in.
He gave me a towel to dry myself and a stool to sit on. I said, “The family members must tell the truth to the relevant government departments. Your sister is a kind person, but now she is imprisoned. You need to take care of your 90-year-old mother who is worried and unwell. The unexpected hardship you’re facing is caused by the police persecuting a good person. They are the ones who are doing bad things. We need to defend your sister’s rights.”
The family later went with us to the relevant departments to demand the release of the sister. They also hired a lawyer. On the day of the trial, they went to the court and saw how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) fabricates evidence to prosecute good people.
When we tried to help rescue practitioner Baozhen, her daughter was scared from the beginning, as the police had threatened her, “Your mother’s actions will affect your son’s employment…”
Other practitioners talked to her several times, saying, “Your mother helped raise your child, cooked meals, and did the housework for you. She is now going through a tribulation. If you don’t help rescue her, how will you face her when she comes back home?”
What the daughter did next was very righteous. She went to the prosecutor who was in charge of the case and said, “My mother is a great person, and I am proud of her. She is from a rural area and has no money for medical treatment. If she doesn’t practice Falun Dafa and her health gets bad, what can you guarantee?”
With Master’s blessing, as well as the cooperation of practitioners and family members, Baozhen was able to return home. She has since been walking on the path of saving sentient beings and clarifying the truth to people every day.
Practitioner Ding’s husband was a taxi driver who had a short temper. The first few times we met, he forced us to leave, scolded his wife for abandoning the family, and said he wanted to divorce her.
Ding’s father-in-law was in his 90s, and she took care of him. I brought some fruit for the elderly man and said to Ding’s husband, “You are upset because Ding is not here, and the burden of the family falls on you. You need to take care of your father, and drive a taxi to earn money for your daughter’s college education. If Ding was here to help you take care of your father and cook for you, would you be so angry and tired? Every time we came, we heard your father calling your wife’s name because she takes good care of him. But you are his son, so why didn’t he call you?”
Personnel from the 610 Office and the Political and Legal Affairs Committee called Ding’s husband and said that if he provided contact information for two additional practitioners, they would let his wife go home.
He replied, “You brought disaster to our family. I can’t do this kind of thing and make other families be as miserable as ours. I won’t do it, forget it!”
Ding’s husband cooperated with us during the rescue effort. And after hearing his wife’s defense in court, he understood the true nature of the CCP.
Practitioner Ying’s elder sister was a mid-level official who believed the CCP’s lies about Falun Dafa. Through repeatedly contacting her, I shared with her the beauty of Dafa and said, “Your sister is someone with good reasoning skills and a high-level education. Would she choose a path of life without thinking deeply about it?”
Ying’s sister worked well with us during the rescue effort and later became a good friend. The letter she wrote to the relevant government departments was very touching. It read, “Before my sister practiced Falun Dafa, she had a strong sense of inferiority. She was impatient, paranoid, liked to go to extremes, and despised life. Since she learned Falun Dafa, she has become a kind, helpful, tolerant, and beautiful person. She cares for her mother and only wants the best for her child. How can such a good person be a criminal? What’s even more confusing is that law enforcement personnel acted violently in front her child. What is happening to our society and this government?”
In the process of rescuing imprisoned practitioners, the family members we faced were destined for us to clarify the truth to them. We not only rescued the practitioners, but also took the opportunity to try to save people working in the police departments, government institutions, and courts.
