(Minghui.org) I have practiced Falun Dafa since 1997. I’d like to share some of my cultivation experiences from the past two years.
Last year I faced a huge “test,” but continued doing the three things Master Li (the founder of Falun Dafa) requires of us, despite huge hardships. As a result, my mind and body improved, and the environment around me also changed for the better.
During the Chinese New Year, all of a sudden I couldn’t stand or lie down due to severe pain. I could only sit. So I did Exercise Five, the Falun Dafa sitting meditation. For two days and two nights I sent righteous thoughts, meditated, and studied the Fa. I couldn’t sleep because I had pain all over my body that was especially intense in my bottom and legs.
Doing the meditation was extremely painful. I remembered Master’s words, “When it’s difficult to endure, you can endure it. When it’s impossible to do, you can do it.” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun)
I sat for two entire days and nights, and I endured. Then, I could lie down for a while. But I didn’t sleep much because I wanted to continue doing Exercise Five, studying the Fa, and sending righteous thoughts.
When I could stand up, I did the first, third, and fourth sets of exercises. I felt so much pain that I sweated, so much that my inner clothing became damp. When I was doing the second exercise, my bottom felt like it was a stone dropping downward. I was in great pain and could hardly bear it. Yet I knew it was all an illusion. I didn’t acknowledge how I felt. I declared in my heart: “This is not painful at all! No pain! No pain!” Then, I heard three loud sounds and saw that three pieces of grayish substance in the shape of my bottom fell to the ground. Instantly all the pain in that area was gone. I thanked Master in my heart. I knew that Master removed the bad substances for me.
My legs however, were still tremendously painful. Each step hurt. Walking up or down stairs was particularly uncomfortable. Despite the pain, I still went out to clarify the truth and distribute materials in neighboring residential areas. Initially, I gasped with each step and walked slowly, so I only went out at night to distribute fliers. I had to hold onto the handrail for support whenever I encountered stairs.
My clothes were soaked with sweat when I came back each night. Gradually, my legs felt lighter and lighter. I covered my residential area and the nearby areas as well. I then went to areas a bit farther away during the day and talked with people about Falun Dafa and the persecution. I also helped a few people withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations.
Thanks to Master strengthening me, I broke through what I believed was an illusory demonstration of illness karma. My mind and body improved, and the environment around me improved as well.
In May 2020, I went to a town that was 20 miles from my home to talk with people about Falun Dafa. A plainclothes policeman asked me for a flier. I gave him one and told him why he should withdraw from the CCP and how to withdraw. Shortly after, a group of police officers showed up and dragged me to the police station. I shouted with all my might: “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! Falun Dafa is legal in China!”
I shouted because I wanted Master to help me not let the police commit crimes against Dafa, and also to let bystanders know the truth.
At the police station, I was pushed onto a chair, handcuffed, and interrogated. The policemen took turns asking me my age, name, and other personal information. I said to one officer, “This is an illegal interrogation. What you are doing is illegal. You should think of yourself and your family and accumulate virtue instead. Falun Dafa is a great cultivation way of the Buddha School. I tell you the facts so you will not be affected when a big catastrophe comes. You treat me like I am a bad person. I am nearly 80 years old. Don’t you feel guilty in your heart? I see you are taping the whole process today. The video will be evidence of your crimes in the future.”
The police took my fingerprints, a blood sample, and photographed me.
I clarified the truth to them for the entire five hours it took for all this to happen. Finally, an officer said to me, “You can go.” I then walked out of the police station. Later on, I realized that they had learned a lot of things that they needed to know.
