(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 23 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
After Mr. Zhou Chunbao, the younger brother of Ms. Zhou Chunling and deputy of the Guan County Taxation Bureau, was arrested on May 15, 2022, his mother Ms. Xu Jimei and his sister Ms. Zhou Chunling were placed on the CCP’s wanted list. The police from Guan County tracked them to Fengcheng City in Liaoning Province where Ms. Zhou Chunling’s mother-in-law lives. With local police cooperation, officers from Guan County arrested Ms. Xu Jimei and her daughter Ms. Zhou Chunling in Fengcheng City on June 10, 2022. Ms. Zhou Chunling’s husband and mother-in-law were also arrested but were later released.
Ms. Lin Jiuliang from Xinjin County is currently being detained in the Chengdu City Detention Center. She will be tried by the Dayi County Court at 9:30 a.m. on June 21, 2022.
Ms. Hao Xiuying and another practitioner were reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong and were arrested on the afternoon of June 14, 2022. Their homes were ransacked the next day. They are currently detained in the Huixian City Police Department.
Ms. Zhang Guiqin from Gucheng County was detained in Room 509 of the Hengshui City Detention Center in late 2019. She was transferred to Room 503 in April 2020. Ms. Zhang was sentenced to three years in prison in 2020 and was transferred to the Shijiazhuang Women’s Prison on January 4, 2021.
Three practitioners, Chen Jun, Tian Huazhen, and Ms. Zhang Jiao’e, were arrested at Chen Jun’s home in Jiangxia District by officers from the Zhifang Police Station at noon on June 16, 2022. Chen Jun’s home was ransacked.
Ms. Jiang Yongqin was arrested on June 12, 2022.
Mr. Sun Yushan was arrested by officers from the Kaifu District Police Department and the Qingshuitang Police Station on January 20, 2022. His home was ransacked. Mr. Sun was detained in the No. 5 Ward, No. 2 Detention Center of Changsha City.
Mr. Sun was placed under official arrest by Zhang Tong, prosecutor of the Kaifu District Procuratorate on March 25, 2022. His case was later transferred to the Liuyang City Procuratorate. It was learned that his case was transferred to the Liuyang City Court last week.
Several officers including Chen Xuezeng from the Linqu County Domestic Security Division and Wang Zhaoxin from the Songshan Police Station, went to Mr. Wang Zhaohua’s home on June 13, 2022. They ransacked the home and confiscated his Falun Gong books, truth clarifying materials, cash, and his Satellite TV receiver. Mr. Wang was taken to the Songshan Police Station and later released.
Four police officers, led by a village official, went to Ms. Sun Yuxiang’s home at around 9 a.m. on June 12, 2022. They searched around, including in the rooms where Ms. Sun’s son, daughter-in-law, and grandson live. They tore down the wall posters.
The police also went to Ms. Zhang Yuemei’s home. No one was at home. They tore down the couplet on the door.
Ms. Song Yunling was placed under official arrest.
Multiple people, including officer Wang Fa from the Jiufeng Town Police Station in Zhong District and Yang Dong from the Security Section of Jiahua Cement Plant, went to the homes of Ms. Li Suhua, Peng Yulin, and Ms. Chen Suying on June 10, 2022. They ransacked the practitioners’ homes and confiscated their Falun Gong books, photos of Falun Gong’s founder, media players, and their truth clarifying materials.
Ms. Jin Guizhi, 80, and Ms. Lin Zhenying, 60, both from Gaotang County, were tried in the Dong’a Court on June 16, 2022. The practitioners were threatened with being sentenced to three years in prison.
Six people from the Xingning City 610 Office and the town and village governments, went to Ms. He Xinfang’s home at around 10:30 a.m. on May 19, 2022. They photographed Ms. He’s home and confiscated a letter written to the Superior Court and a bookmark with the words “Falun Dafa is Good.”
Officers from the Huanghelu Police Station in Xiaohe District went to Ms. Zhou Weiping’s home at 10 a.m. on May 20, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, media player, two cell phones, USB drives, two amulets, and other items.
Ms. Zhou was taken to the Xiaohe District Police Department at 12:20 p.m. She was pressured to sign a paper which had words slandering Falun Gong and Falun Gong’s founder. She firmly refused. Ms. Zhou was released at midnight that day.
