(Minghui.org) The Fa-rectification is pushing forward at a very fast speed, and there is no time to wait for anyone. I have noticed many problems we have here in Switzerland and would like to share some of my understandings. First of all, I would like to make it clear that I am a new practitioner and that I don’t know the history of many of the problems. However, as the saying goes: Bystanders see most of the game.
Master told us,
“If people don’t want to listen whenever you assign something and they just want to do whatever suits their fancy, and each does things his own way, could that ever work? It’s just like when this fist goes out—it’s strong when everyone is clenched together. (Master makes a fist.) But if you’re saying that this one wants to do this, that one wants to do that, and the next one something else (spreading the five fingers apart and pointing to each finger), then that’s weak, and as soon as it goes out, it will be repelled, right? You need to have a plan and organize things, coordinate well, and cooperate with each other.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2009 Greater New York International Fa Conference,” Collected Teachings Given Around the World Volume IX)
I live in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and joined the local Fa study group. Most people in Switzerland live far apart, but thanks to the good and affordable public transportation, it only takes about one or two hours from place A to place B. Even so, many practitioners fail to attend the bi-weekly group Fa study sessions in the German-speaking part on a regular basis.
As for the group exercises in the park, some practitioners come only when they have a lift; otherwise they would not come.
Another thing I find very harmful is that each time when Shen Yun comes to perform in the German-speaking area, there are always practitioners who do not listen to the coordinator. They cause dissension among practitioners by sowing discord and forming small factions.
I remember what Master said in Zhuan Falun,
“How could an average person tolerate that? How could anyone put up with that? “If he has made trouble for me, I’ll return the same. He has supporters, but so do I. Let’s fight.” If you do this among everyday people, they will say that you are a strong person. As a practitioner, however, that is completely awful. If you compete and fight like an ordinary person, you are an ordinary person. If you outdo him, you are even worse than that ordinary person.” (Lecture Four, Zhuan Falun)
The situation in Switzerland is rather unique, as we only have a small number of practitioners. The interference from those practitioners has done great harm to our cultivation environment. I’m not trying to judge who is right or who is wrong, but as Dafa practitioners, including myself, we should all truly look within ourselves and check what attachments we are yet to let go of.
We have enormous responsibilities on our shoulders at this very special period of time. The instability in our cultivation environment is mostly due to our attachments being taken advantage of by external factors. The old forces want to see discord between practitioners so they can separate and destroy us, and to cut off the sacred affinities among us. This is also the same old trick of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
There are also fellow practitioners who kept away from the community of practitioners because they were suspected of “going astray.” But it all turned out to be just a misunderstanding in the end. I don’t mean to open old wounds, but such things are just not normal in a Dafa cultivation environment.
In order to achieve their goals, the old forces also made a lot of wicked arrangements in Switzerland. Master taught us that “material and mental phenomena are the same in nature” (The First Talk, Zhuan Falun). I would like to elaborate a bit more on my understanding of this Fa principle.
Many global organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations (UN), the World Economic Forum (WEF), the World Bank, etc. all have their headquarters in Switzerland. Countless corrupt officials have also deposited their dirty money into their Swiss bank accounts. Some cult-like fraternities also have their centers in Swiss cities, not to mention those mega companies. All of these and many other sources of interference are external factors imposed by the old forces. They formed an influential and extremely concentrated power network, which has blossomed everywhere in Switzerland and dominated the entire continent, and even the whole world.
I think this has something to do with the fact that we divided our Fa study groups by French-speaking and German-speaking areas, and the two areas have little contact with each other in terms of both Fa study and truth-clarification. Consequently, the small number of Dafa practitioners in Switzerland have not formed one body.
This takes us back to Master’s teaching quoted earlier about the difference between a fist and spreading the five fingers apart. Which way is stronger and more effective? I understand that human interaction is extremely intricate and everyone has his/her own understanding and interpretation of things. Not everyone thinks the same.
This fact provides us a wonderful situation for cultivation, in which we learn to let go of things. Many fellow practitioners talk about about forming one body in their local area and in cultivation. There are also many sharing articles on Minghui.org to prove that after practitioners have formed a strong body as a whole, we would become a powerful force and help Master in the Fa-rectification more effectively, with stronger righteous thoughts, and eliminate more evils.
I hope that fellow practitioners can draw lessons from our situation, and that Dafa disciples in Switzerland can become one body again.
Many situations are rather complicated, and there must be details that I don’t know. Please correct me if I have said anything not in line with the Fa in this sharing. I just want to remind us all that good cooperation between practitioners is very important.
Editor’s note: This article only represents the author’s understanding in their current cultivation state meant for sharing among practitioners so that we can “Compare in studying, compare in cultivating.” (“Solid Cultivation,” Hong Yin)
