(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Wu Xiaolan, a Xingning City resident, was arrested in Foshan City on September 2, 2021. She was thrown into the Foshan Detention Center and sentenced to two-and-a-half-years in prison. She is incarcerated in the Guangdong Province Women’s Prison.
Ms. Wang Wenjie has been incarcerated in the Shijiazhuang Women’s Prison since September 4, 2023. In mid-October her daughter learned that she was subjected to brainwashing in the prison’s “study class,” which operated the first three months she was imprisoned. The guards do not allow her family to visit her.
Ms. Hao Liqin has been incarcerated in the Shijiazhuang Women’s Prison since April, 2023.
Ms. Peng Fang was subjected to forced labor and imprisonment. She was repeatedly harassed at home and stalked by community clerks and police.
She distributed Falun Gong flyers on November 11, 2023. The person who followed her reported her, and she was arrested by plainclothes officers. Her whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Qin Jingxiang, who lives in Nanliyue Township, visited her relatives in the Fenghuangcheng Community on the morning of November 16, 2023. She left around 11:30 a.m. Just as she walked downstairs to the first floor, four plainclothes officers stopped her and ordered her to go to the police department immediately. She refused. They said they would carry her there if she did not cooperate. That afternoon, her family learned she was held in the police department, and they went there to demand she be released. The county’s Domestic Security Division officers did not allow the family to see her.
Mr. Li Qingsheng, who lives in Yongling Town, was arrested in Jiahe Village by town police when he was talking to villagers about the persecution of Falun Gong on the morning of November 14, 2023. Five or six officers ransacked his home, seized multiple Falun Gong books, desk calendars with Falun Gong messages printed on them, and other personal items. He was taken to a detention center. The guards did not admit him because his blood pressure was over 200 mmHg. He was released on bail at night.
Ms. Gao Shuying was repeatedly harassed by officers from the Dongpuwa Police Station since November 2023. The officers said they found Falun Gong materials in corridors. They took her and her intellectually disabled grandson to the police station and tried to force her to sign police statements.
Mr. Sun Lei, who lives in the Huinong District, was arrested by officers from the Huinong District Police Department in early August 2023.
Mengyang Town’s Yuanshi Village head and three women secretly photographed Ms. Zheng Weirong around 11:00 a.m. on November 16, 2023.
More than ten Yingdong District officers broke into Ms. Zhou Ruying’s home after 10:00 a.m. on November 15, 2023. They ransacked the place, seized computers, Falung Gong books, money with Falun Gong messages printed on them, keepsakes, and other items. She was arrested and put in the Fuyang Detention Center that night.
Three officers from the Nandian Police Station went to Zhao Fuyun’s home after 11:00 a.m. on November 16, 2023. They ordered him or her to go with them to county police department. Zhao did not cooperate. The officers left an hour later.
Ms. Guo Yulan was held for six months in the Zhongshan City Detention Center for suing former Chinese Communist Party head Jiang Zemin in 2015. She was sentenced to probation. She was a teacher, a public employment position, in Haotou Middle School. She was fired after she was released.
An officer who claimed he was from the Qiwan Police Station, knocked on her door for over 20 minutes at 5:25 p.m. on November 14, 2023. She did not open the door.
Officer Zhu from the Qiwan Police Station repeatedly harassed her husband.
Ms. Ye Qionghua, 79, arrived home around 11:00 a.m. on March 28, 2023. Chendu City Political Security Brigade captain and more than a dozen people forced their way into her home, arrested her, and took her to the Mengzhuiwan Police Station. She was released after 11:00 p.m.
Afterwards, she was closely monitored 24 hours a day. She managed to flee home.
