(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Tried in Court

Ms. Wu Jingkun, Ms. Ge Lijuan and Ms. Wang Zhoulin were tried in the Longkou Court on the morning of October 26, 2023. No verdicts were announced. They were allowed to return home.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Meng Qingjie from Shenhe District, Ms. Liu Yuling from Benxi City, and Kong, were arrested on October 26, 2023.

3. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Ye and Another Practitioner Arrested

Ms. Chen Ye, 59, and another female practitioner, in her 70s, were arrested at Ms. Chen’s home on October 20, 2023. Ms. Chen attended the hearing for Ms. Liu Yanqiu and Ms. Yang Dongmei the day before she was arrested. She was forced to leave the court room a few minutes after the hearing started. The other practitioner stayed at Ms. Chen’s home and was arrested with her. 

Ms. Chen Ye’s only daughter, Ms. Wang Yujie, died in 2011 at the age of 24 due to the persecution of Falun Gong.

4. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xiao Fengqin was arrested at home by two officers from the Hedong Police Station and two other officers from the Chang’an District Police Department, at 7 a.m. on October 24, 2023. Her home was ransacked. Ms. Xiao was placed under 10-day detention. 

Ms. He Guichun and Ms. Zhang Shulin were arrested at their homes by officers from the Shifang Road Police Station in the Chang’an District at 7 a.m. on October 19, 2023. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Zhang Shulin was sent to a detention house. 

A practitioner was arrested at her home by officers from the Yuhua District Police Department on October 19, 2023. Her home was ransacked.

5. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Feng Shuzhi Harassed

Ms. Feng Shuzhi was harassed at her home by three officers from the Xige Town Police Station in the Fengnan District on the afternoon of October 23, 2023. The police photographed her and asked whether she still practiced Falun Gong.

6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Luo Arrested 

Ms. Luo who teaches Library Management at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, was arrested recently and placed under official arrest.

7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Qiulan and Ms. Dong Xiuyun Harassed

Ms. Ma Qiulan and Ms. Dong Xiuyun were harassed at their homes by officers from the Huanggezhuang Town Police Station in the Fengnan District on October 25 and October 26, 2023 respectively. The police photographed both practitioners.

8. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Xiuqing Arrested and Detained

Ms. Guo Xiuqing, 75, from Muzhuang of Gaotang County, was arrested by officers from the Zhaozhaizi Police Station when she worked at her vendor stand at the Zhaozhaizi Market on the morning of October 10, 2023. Her home was ransacked. She is currently held in the Liangshui Town Detention Center.

9. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhou Wei and Su Anzhou Harassed

Three officers from the Qilihe Police Department went to Mr. Zhou Wei’s home on the morning of October 20, 2023. They arrested Mr. Zhou and tried to send him to the Xiguoyuan Detention Center. He was denied admission due to the physical examination results. Mr. Zhou was taken back to his home. Three days later on October 23, 2023, a young officer came to his home and harassed him again.

Three officers from the Qilihe Police Department went to Su Anzhou’s home on October 20, 2023. They left after they saw Su was paralyzed and bedridden. 

10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Ning Arrested and Detained

Ms. Li Ning from Dalian Bay was arrested on the morning of October 18, 2023 when she talked to people about Falun Gong in the Nanguanling Market. She was sent to the Jinnan Road Detention House.

11. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Sheng Jifu Sent to a Brainwashing Center

Sheng Jifu (gender unknown) from Huangren Village of Duozhuang Town was taken by police to a brainwashing center in Mengyin County on the morning of October 24, 2023. Sheng is still detained there.

12. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Bian Lihua Faces Trial

Ms. Bian Lihua, 65, was informed in July 2023 that her case was submitted to the Xihe District Court. Judge Wang Yi and a lawyer went to her home and told her that she would be tried on October 26, 2023. The trial didn’t take place that day, but she was not informed.

13. [Beijing] Ms. Li Yan Facing Trial

Ms. Li Yan was scheduled to be tried in the Changping District Court at 9 a.m. on November 1, 2023.

14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Guihong Arrested

Ms. Wang Guihong was arrested at home by seven officers from the Xinhua Police Station on the morning of October 27, 2023. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books.
