(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Chen Xueyan was arrested by Ning’an police on August 10, 2023. The Hailin Procuratorate issued the arrest warrant. Her case is in the Hailin Court. When the court clerks asked for her signature on November 20, she refused to sign. Her family hired an attorney and she met with him.
The Jimei District Court scheduled a trial against Mr. Li Jinxi to be held on the morning of November 24, 2023.
Ms. Liu Gangli was put into the Liaoning Province No. 2 Women’s Prison in August 2022. Guards refused to allow her family to visit her for the first nine months. Afterward, the family was allowed to meet her for 10 minutes every two months. But they haven’t seen her for the last three months. They contacted the prison multiple times. Each time, the guards tell them to wait to be notified by phone.
Ms. Xiao Hua, 63, was arrested by officers from the Dongning Domestic Security Division for talking to a soldier about the persecution of Falun Gong on September 19, 2023. The Hailin Procuratorate approved the arrest. She developed high blood pressure while in police custody, but the police refused to release her.
She was taken to the Mudanjiang Detention Center on November 19, 2023. The detention center refused to admit her because her systolic blood pressure was 230 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure was 140 mmHg. She was taken to a police hospital.
Ning Zhonghua, gender unknown, was arrested by police who were staked out near Ning’s home. His or her home was ransacked. He or she was detained and was released on November 16, 2023.
More than ten practitioners, the eldest one was 86, were arrested in Tiantan Park and taken to the Xicheng Police Department by more than twenty plainclothes officers around 7:00 a.m. on November 18, 2023. The practitioners were released on bail the same day.
Ms. Liang Shuzhi, 86, was harassed at home by community officer Wang Yingda from the Taiyuan Police Station, Wuhuan Community grid clerk Hao Yaoyao, and others on November 22, 2023. They photographed her.
Ms. Yang Guorong, who lives in the Zhifu District, was arrested by eight officers who were waiting for her when she arrived at the procuratorate at 2:00 p.m. on November 16, 2023. They took her straight to the Fushan Detention Center.
The week before, she received a call from a police station officer, who told her to go to the police station to sign paperwork to revoke her bail. Several days later, she got another call and was told to report to the procuratorate. She was arrested as soon as she arrived.
She was arrested and taken to the Fenghuangtai Police Station because she distributed Falun Gong flyers on November 13, 2022. Her home was ransacked. She was released on bail that night.
Ms. Tong Fengxian, in her 80s, was arrested by officers from the Hanzhongmen Police Station. The Xuanwu District Court sentenced her to three years in prison. She is incarcerated in the Changzhou Prison.
Ms. Yang Furong, 57, Ms. Kong Jiuhong, Ms. Wu Xiufang, Ms. Xu Guiyun, Ms. Sun Youlan, Ms. Mao Cuiying, and Ms. Liu Ping have been detained and subjected to brainwashing.
Ms. Kong is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The Domestic Security Division captain told her family to bail her out.
Ms. Zhang Guilan, around 70, who lives in the Jiangbei District, went to visit her relatives in Wanzhou City. On her way home on November 14, 2023, she was taken to the police station for questioning by several railway officers after she swiped her identity card to board a high-speed train in the Wanzhou Railway Station. The officers searched her and found a Falun Gong keepsake. She was forced to point to it to be photographed and sign a police document. She was in police custody for over an hour.
