(Minghui.org) The Nobel Peace Prize Museum is a world-renowned tourist destination, and the square in front of it was filled with people on Saturday, April 8, 2023, which happened to be Easter weekend. Falun Dafa practitioners set up an information booth to introduce the practice to visitors from various countries. Many people signed the petition to call for an end to the atrocities after learning about the persecution in China. Some expressed their respect for practitioners’ persistence in exposing the brutalities.
Practitioners held activities to raise awareness of the ongoing persecution in China outside the Nobel Peace Prize museum on April 8, 2023.
Practitioners informed people of the persecution in China.
Two American tourists in Sweden walked up to the table to sign the petition upon seeing the eye-catching banner with the message “Stop Persecuting Falun Gong”. The woman said she visited China before and is a loyal reader of the English edition of The Epoch Times, “I learned of China’s traditional culture, what Falun Dafa is and many facts from the publication. You (Falun Dafa practitioners) have done a great job! I support you.”
Two Americans who know about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China said they will tell more people to learn about the atrocities and help end the suppression.
The other American tourist told practitioners that he was reminded of an encounter with practitioners in front of the Chinese embassy in London. “They (Falun Dafa practitioners) persist in protesting peacefully day and night for many years. They will continue to protest the persecution as long as it goes on. It is truly touching.”
He also said, “Today, I see once again how peaceful and wonderful Falun Dafa is. I feel the power of compassion, and it is warm and endearing.”
Both of them said they will tell more people about the suppression and together with practitioners, do their part to end it. They hope the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) authoritarian rule will end soon.
A young woman stopped in front of a display board. She read all of the information on it and walked up to the table to sign the petition. She introduced herself and said that she was from Iran. She felt there were similarities between the Iranian and Chinese governments. She abhorred the CCP’s tyranny and said, “I came to Sweden on a tour with friends from Germany. I will tell them what I learned today.”
Soon afterwards, she returned and brought her friends to the information booth. She said, “We were talking about this topic (the persecution of Falun Dafa and organ harvesting). Everyone thought you were doing a good thing and wanted to show their support. They came to sign the petition to do their part in stopping this persecution.”
A couple from India told their son about the persecution after learning of the atrocities. The family of three signed the petition to end the atrocities. Before leaving, the husband told a practitioner, “I knew a long time ago these kind people are the subject of the CCP’s inhuman persecution and worse still, their organs are stolen for transplants. You have persisted in opposing this persecution peacefully for over two decades. It is admirable.” He kept saying he sincerely wanted to help practitioners.
Many tourists told practitioners that they were keen to take up the practice after being introduced to it. Among them were two young visitors from Spain. One of them asked for more information on learning the exercises. She said, “The CCP is evil. The things they are afraid of and suppress are surely good and precious.”
She was delighted to know that there is a practice site in Madrid, Spain. She said she plans to go there to learn the exercises when she returns home.
A young man from Ireland explained that he was interested in Chinese medicine as well as Chinese traditional culture. “This practice is peaceful. I think it is excellent. I am fortunate to come across Falun Dafa. I will go online to find out more about it.” He continued, “Helping to stop this persecution is something everyone should do. I too will help you spread the truth.”
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
