(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Du Jiying Arrested
2. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu E Arrested
3. [Bin County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Chen Yadong Arrested and Detained
4. [Huai’an County, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Feilong Arrested 
5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Chen Shougui Harassed
6. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhu Yanhua Sentenced to Prison
7. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Lijuan Detained
8. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested and Detained
9. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Yanhui Arrested
10. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Eight Practitioners Persecuted
11. [Miluo City, Hunan Province] Mr. Wu Pengcheng Arrested

1. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Du Jiying Arrested

Ms. Du Jiying, 50, was arrested at home by officers from the Chengguan Police Station in Wu’an City on May 5, 2023. 

2. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu E Arrested

Ms. Zhu E, 65, was arrested at home by officers from the Jilin City Police Station and the Longtan District Police Department on May 4, 2023. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, printer and cash.

3. [Bin County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Chen Yadong Arrested and Detained

Ms. Chen Yadong from Guang’en Township was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong and was arrested by officers from the Chang’an Police Station in mid-April 2023. Ms. Chen was sent to the No. 1 Detention Center of Bin County.

4. [Huai’an County, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Feilong Arrested 

Mr. Ma Feilong lives in Dongshacheng Village, Xishacheng Township, Hai’an County, Zhangjiakou City. He was arrested near his home by officers from the Huai’an County Police Department, the Chaigoubao Railway Police Station, and the Xishacheng Township Police Station on April 25, 2023. He was seen handcuffed and beaten hard before he was taken away. He is incarcerated in the Wanquan County Detention House.

5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Chen Shougui Harassed

Officers from the Taibaozhuang Police Station in Xiashan District went to Mr. Chen Shougui’s home in Qingquantun Community. He was not there. The police ransacked his home and confiscated his Falun Gong books.

6. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhu Yanhua Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhu Yanhua was sentenced to four and a half years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan by the Aimin District Court on April 25, 2023. She was put under six months of residential surveillance.

7. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Lijuan Detained

Ms. Sun Lijuan was transferred to the No. 12 Ward, Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on March 27, 2023. Her family was notified on April 3, 2023 and have not been allowed to visit her.

8. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested and Detained

Three practitioners including Ms. Chen Shuling were arrested by officers from the Wuyi Road Police Station in Qiaodong District on the afternoon of April 20, 2023. Their homes were ransacked. Their Falun Gong books were confiscated. The practitioners are now detained. 

9. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Yanhui Arrested

Mr. Wang Yanhui lives in Beiligezhuang, Lizhuang Township, Qingyuan District. He was arrested by officers from the Yangcheng Police Station on May 4, 2023.

10. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Eight Practitioners Persecuted

Eight practitioners were arrested or harassed in Hefei City on April 18-19, 2023.

Mr. Ji Guangkui from Baohe District was arrested and detained on April 18, 2023.

The homes of three practitioners in Yaohai District were ransacked on April 18, 2023. The practitioners are Mr. Huang Yuping, Mr. Fei Jia and Mr. Shi Jun. Mr. Huang Yuping and Mr. Shi Jun were also summoned. Ms. Zhao Ronghua in the Yaohai District was harassed.

Three practitioners in Luyang District including Ms. Li Shiying, Ms. Xie Hong and Mr. Hu Zongqun, were harassed on April 18 or 19, 2023.

11. [Miluo City, Hunan Province] Mr. Wu Pengcheng Arrested

Mr. Wu Pengcheng, 69, was arrested at home by officers from the Miluo City Police Department on the morning of April 24, 2023. The police ransacked his home and confiscated an entire set of Falun Gong books, MP3 player, USB drive, and informational materials about Falun Gong. He was interrogated at the police department. Mr. Wu was denied admission by the detention center due to the results of his physical exam and was released that afternoon.
