(Minghui.org) The Slovakia Falun Dafa Association held an event on Saturday, May 13, 2023, to mark the 31st anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction and the 24th World Falun Dafa Day. They called for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa.
The event was held at Hviezdoslav Square Square in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Peter Osuský, a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, spoke. He paid tribute to Falun Dafa practitioners and called on the public to speak out against the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP’s) persecution.
Practitioners did the Falun Dafa exercises on May 13 to celebrate Falun Dafa Day.
Peter Osuský, a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, gave a speech.
In his speech, Peter Osusky said that the CCP regime is, “deceitful, ruthless, and intolerant (of different voices),” which is completely opposite to the values of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) and which is why this criminal regime hates Falun Gong.
He said he was willing to support everything that is suppressed by the regime, adding: “Just like Falun Gong, I support all people who are oppressed by a totalitarian regime. The regime has shown its (evil) nature many times. People of our age remember the (June 4th) Tiananmen Square incident, and even those who are younger may remember the Body Exhibition on the other side of the Danube.”
Osusky pointed out that as part of the CCP’s live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners, the CCP regime also sold the corpses to some human anatomy exhibitions. “Curious citizens also saw the plastinated corpses of Falun Gong practitioners in the exhibition, which is chilling to think about. It’s like thinking that this criminal regime is exporting far more hearts for transplants than it can obtain legally or semi-legally. It harvests the organs of its own citizens. It’s sad that a world that should value humanitarian values recoils from China’s gross national income,” he said.
At the end of his speech, Osusky praised Falun Dafa’s peaceful practice of the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and called on the public to condemn the persecution.
He said, “Falun Dafa has (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance) characteristics. If all people in the world had these characteristics, the world would be carefree and like a paradise. Unfortunately, this is not the case, and it is the responsibility of righteous people to resist evil. I salute you, and I salute all the good people in the world who oppose this criminal regime’s horrific persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.”
Marek Tatarko, chairman of the Slovak Falun Dafa Association, talked about the cause of the persecution in his speech.
“Falun Gong is widely welcomed by the people and has spiritual connotations. It has become a target of the CCP regime. Therefore, Falun Gong practitioners in China have been brutally persecuted (by the CCP), and their organs have been harvested while they are alive for more than 20 years,” he said.
In the late 1990s, the CCP estimated the number of Falun Gong practitioners in China at 70-100 million, more than the number of CCP members.
“The CCP is currently using the same repressive tactics in China against other ethnic and religious groups, dissidents, and even ordinary citizens,” Tatarko said.
At the end of his speech, he added, “Last year, more than a thousand elected officials from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Ireland, Australia, Japan, and Taiwan expressed their solidarity with Falun Dafa. Dozens of cities raised flags or lit up landmark buildings in Canada to celebrate Falun Dafa Day.”
On that day, the City Hall in Presov, Slovakia was lit up in gold lights to express solidarity with Falun Dafa Day.
During the event, practitioners also demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, distributed fliers to passersby, and collected signatures on a petition asking the President of the Slovak Republic to condemn the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa. Many passersby expressed their support and signed the petition to stop the persecution in China. Many people took pictures of the practitioners as they did the exercises, and some even learned the exercises on the spot. Four tourists from China announced their withdrawal from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology, and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
