(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held a free Falun Dafa exercise class in Fremont Central Park on Saturday, May 20, 2023, and many local people stopped to learn.
Savitha, a Fremont resident, had been coughing non-stop prior to participating in the Falun Dafa exercise class. “The coughing stopped right after I learned to practice the exercises. Thank you, Falun Dafa,” she said.

“I practiced Falun Dafa previously in 2018, and Master Li Hongzhi [the founder of Falun Dafa] eliminated all my illnesses when I practiced the exercises. Different colors of light rays appeared in front of me when I read Zhuan Falun, the main text of Falun Dafa. However, I was unable to persist in practicing the exercises,” Savitha said.
Savitha decided to practice the exercises again when she saw practitioners’ ads about offering to teach the exercises in the park. “Falun Dafa is great. I feel much better now. I want to continue to cultivate Falun Dafa and to improve my character,” she said.
Tuyat Tran said that she was happy to find Falun Dafa in the park.
Ms. Tuyat Tran, who is half Chinese, said, “I felt an energy field when I passed by the park. I saw people meditating when I turned around and decided to give it a try.”
After practicing the exercises, Ms. Tran said, “I like it a lot, and my body feels free. I can feel the energy current circulating in my body. I would like to practice the exercises more.”
She also liked Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. “I have been meditating since 2019 and I think Falun Dafa’s exercise is suitable for me. I enjoyed practicing the exercises with everyone.”
Tuyat also obtained a copy of Zhuan Falun.
Ravi Adapala, a biologist, and his daughter had been strolling around the park when they saw practitioners teaching the exercises. They both decided to give the exercises a try. “I feel full of energy,” Ravi said. “My body feels relaxed and would probably feel even better if I continued to practice often.”
It was Ravi’s first encounter with Falun Dafa. “This is a traditional practice and is very good. I think this is a spiritual practice and it shines like the sun,” he said.
Mayukha, Ravi’s daughter, also liked practicing the exercises. “This exercise is very cool. I like it,” she said.
Lily Ching, an immigrant from Guangdong Province, China, has lived in the United States for a long time. She saw the free exercise instruction classes and came over to learn the practice. After learning the exercises, Ms. Ching said, “Falun Dafa is very good. The principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are magnificent and beautiful. Not only is it important to follow these principles during the exercises, but it is also equally as important to follow these principles in our daily lives. People will become kinder and more considerate of others.”
Devarshi Jani’s body felt light after practicing the Falun Dafa exercises.
Devarshi Jani, his sister and some of their friends, were in the park and wanted to learn the Falun Dafa exercises. “I feel good and my body feels relaxed. I feel very calm and peaceful. This is a beautiful experience and I am surprised,” Devarshi said, after trying the exercises.
He said he wanted to come back to practice the exercises again, because “It can alleviate my stress and strengthen my energy. I will research and learn more about this practice.”

Mansi Jani, Devarshi’s sister, said, “I feel comfortable. I have always wanted to learn to meditate. This practice is good. I will practice at home. Thank you for teaching me the exercises.”
Tomasa Paris, a caregiver for the elderly, is happy to have found Falun Dafa.
Tomasa Paris lives in Fremont and is a caregiver for the elderly. She had been strolling in the park when she saw the sign about free Falun Dafa classes and decided to give it a try. After trying the exercises, she said, “I really like this practice. It is very good. My body feels relaxed.”
She said that since her English isn’t very good, she will ask her son to look into Falun Dafa for her.
“Falun Dafa is beneficial to one’s health. It is also good for the soul and everything else. I like it a lot. The principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good to everyone and to the world. Everyone, including myself, needs the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” she affirmed.
Mr. Li, from Taiwan, likes to practice Tai chi. He came over to try the Falun Dafa exercises when he saw practitioners teaching people. “I think this is very good,” he said. “This is a good exercise and stimulates the energy flow in the body.”
He had heard about Falun Dafa practitioners abiding by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in cultivation. “This is a good practice. I feel relaxed after practicing it. You have to experience the practice to understand the realm of cultivation,” he said.
Anastasia Prosser said her stress was alleviated after learning to practice Falun Dafa.
Anastasia Prosser, who used to practice yoga, is a manager at a medical supply manufacturing company. She stated that her work is very tedious and she wishes to find a way to alleviate her stress. She had been strolling in the park when she joined practitioners in doing the exercises. “I feel full of energy now and my stress has been alleviated. My body feels light and I like this practice a lot. I hope you can offer more exercise classes,” she said.
“I believe in the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and hope I can abide by them as well” she added. “I would like to add practicing Falun Dafa’s exercises to my daily routine, so I can be healthier.”

Prity Patel and her friend, Amita Parikh, were happy to attend the Falun Dafa exercise class. Ms. Patel said, “This practice is very good. I feel relaxed and full of energy. I also feel more calm. This has helped me a lot.”
Ms. Parikh said, “I feel energized. My body felt stiff before practicing the exercises, but now I feel energetic.”
They said they would watch the Falun Dafa instructional videos and revise the practice movements when they got home. “We will practice the exercises together,” they said.
Ms. Patel resonated with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and said, “I feel a Buddha nature in me at heart. I will abide by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”
