(Minghui.org) In July of 1999, 24 years ago, veteran Falun Dafa practitioners entered the stage of Fa-rectification cultivation. In counteracting the persecution and helping people to understand the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution, the cultivation environment outside of China has been impacted in significant ways.
For example, in the early days during Fa study, most practitioners were determined to study the Fa and learn it well, as well as improve their xinxing. When they encountered conflicts in daily life or at work, they looked for areas where they were lacking in their xinxing. They also looked to the Fa teachings for the solutions to their problems. By cultivating themselves internally, they were able to solve their external conflicts.
As Fa-rectification cultivation progressed, in many regions when practitioners ran into conflicts or tribulations, their human hearts and attachments to themselves, and even deviant words and actions, began to emerge. And local practitioners even supported those behaviors. Many of those in conflicts or tribulations tried to blame others for their problems and seek external solutions instead of looking at the issue from the perspective of cultivation. Because of that, many new practitioners who took up Dafa after 2000 were not able to experience the serenity and purity that Fa study groups and practice sites originally had.
Master Li, the founder of Falun Dafa, has remarked in several lectures about the responsibilities that rest on the shoulders of the coordinators of Falun Dafa Associations outside of China.
Master said:
“Master has entrusted so many Dafa disciples to you, and expects you to lead them well. So it is something you must do, and it is your responsibility. If you don’t do it well, it’s directly related to your cultivation.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2013 Greater New York Fa Conference,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XII)
But in reality, some coordinators (and some individual practitioners) still pushed the responsibilities onto Master or avoided them in different ways, instead of being “responsible to Master.” (“Be More Diligent,” Collected Teachings Given Around the World Volume X)
It’s also not uncommon for Dafa Association coordinators to be busy with other projects that they are in charge of and to thereby neglect their responsibilities to the Dafa Association.
Master said,
“I would like to tell you that, since you are a coordinator, you should gather the local practitioners and bring them together on Master’s behalf so that they can improve in cultivation, and you should help Master by leading them well. That is your responsibility as a coordinator in your area.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2015 New York Fa Conference,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XIII)
Only when the coordinators take their responsibilities for the Dafa Association as their first priority can we restore the cultivation environment in all regions, help fellow practitioners value their xinxing cultivation and improvement more, and achieve more positive results in the things we do to awaken people to the truth.
Although there are many difficulties, along with many complicated things and people, the Dafa Association coordinators have to study the Fa well and have the courage to truly be responsible to the Dafa Association. Only then can they fulfill their missions well.
