(Minghui.org) Master has painstakingly looked after us for years, borne our huge sins and karma, and protected us. Fa-rectification is ending, and the old forces are about to eliminate those who haven’t genuinely cultivated, those who have violated their vows for so long time that they are failing to fulfill their historic missions, and those who have fallen into the trap laid by demons.
In my understanding, regarding those people and things Master mentioned in his two recent articles, it is not that he just told us about them and that is the end of it. Everything mentioned in the articles corresponds to enormous karma that the old forces have taken advantage of. In the dimensions that we can’t see, Master is enduring unimaginable pain and karma for us.
We may still remember that Master “...was made to drink a bowl of poison...” (Teachings at the Conference in Canada) and endured the karma for a practitioner who’d had a stroke. This was the case for just one person. What about so many practitioners and the karmic debts that each one of us owes?
The debts we owe must be repaid, but we are not able to repay them in this lifetime or ever. So that we can complete our cultivation in this lifetime and rectify the Fa in the universe, Master takes on all the karma and sins committed by countless beings over countless lifetimes.
Living in ignorance, we generate huge amounts of karma and don’t have the ability to repay it. If Master did not rectify the Fa and suffer for us, everything in the universe would be destroyed. Master saved us through his own suffering. We can’t thank Master enough for his saving grace.
When the evil targets Dafa, they often try to discredit Minghui.org, because this is where Master publishes new articles and gives instructions to correct our mistakes in cultivation.
When the persecution began in 1999, CCP (Chinese Communist Party) broadcast TV programs 24 hours a day slandering Master and Falun Dafa in order to poison people’s minds and brainwash them. The Minghui website immediately responded by publishing a 19-page pamphlet debunking the lies about Master and clarifying the truth.
I was arrested in early 2000 when I went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Dafa. A police director said to me, “I will ask you six questions that no one has given me satisfactory answers to. If you can do that, I will release you and I will also practice Falun Dafa.”
I thought this was a good opportunity for me to clarify the truth to him. I told him to go ahead and ask away. He said, “First, why doesn’t your Master come here to protect and rescue you? Second, why did he flee to the U.S.? Third, your Master spreads Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Why did he change his birth date? Fourth, why did your Master amass wealth? Fifth, why did he buy a big house? Sixth, if Falun Dafa is so good, why does the government ban it?”
The answers to all these questions were in the Minghui pamphlet I’d memorized, so I was able to explain the facts to him in detail. He listened quietly and then turned to leave. I said, “Didn’t you say that you were going to practice Falun Dafa if I answered your questions? Why are you leaving?” He looked at me but didn’t say anything. He soon returned with three fried donuts and a cup of water. “You must be hungry,” he said. “Please enjoy the food.” I thanked him, happy for him that he had understood the facts.
At that time, not many practitioners in China visited the Minghui website. After I was released, I shared with fellow practitioners my experience and urged them to read Minghui, so as to better prepare ourselves to clarify the truth. Using the materials Minghui had put together, we were able to be more effective at helping those involved in the persecution to see how the communist regime was contriving to demonize Falun Dafa.
In addition to the truth-clarification materials, the Minghui website also played an irreplaceable role in helping practitioners around the world improve together in our cultivation.
When I visited one city, I noticed the practitioners there didn’t really know how to cultivate themselves. They badmouthed each other behind their backs. I printed out some experience-sharing articles on Minghui on this topic and forwarded them to those practitioners. They looked within and changed their behavior.
I also came across an elderly practitioner who had lived away from home for more than ten years to avoid being persecuted. She read Zhuan Falun but not Master’s other lectures or Minghui. She struggled with sickness karma and lingered in that state for some time. I sent her Master’s lectures and some cultivation experience sharing articles from Minghui. When I saw her six months later, she expressed her gratitude to Master and the practitioners who work for Minghui. She said she had changed completely and gotten over the tribulation. She was grateful she was able to keep up with the progress of Fa-rectification.
Master has acknowledged the role of Minghui. But from some of the sharing articles written by practitioners outside of China, I’ve realized that some practitioners have a certain resistance to the Minghui editors.
It’s good for practitioners to have different understandings and viewpoints, and there will always be things we may not necessarily agree with. We should always cherish criticism and see it as an opportunity to check ourselves and see why our hearts are moved.
But such conflicts may turn out to be big tests for those who haven’t cultivated for a long time or those who don’t understand the Fa well. If they can’t see their attachments clearly and are moved by criticism and start to resent fellow practitioners or even Dafa, then they might become the targets that the old forces intend to pick out. In the new articles, Master has now clearly pointed out the issue in our cultivation. Every one of us should read those articles and take a hard look at ourselves. Only by assimilating ourselves to the Fa can we have a future.
While some practitioners are looking to find fault with Minghui, one thing we can do to help is to verify the information reported on Minghui and make sure it’s accurate.
For example, when practitioners in China submit articles about the persecution, they can check for typos and make certain that the practitioners’ names, perpetrators’ phone numbers, and other details are correct. Minghui editors aren’t able to verify these details, so the accuracy of the reports depends entirely on practitioners in China.
When I was arrested and taken to the detention center, I met a practitioner who had been on hunger strike for a week and had had several seizures. The detention center guards didn’t get her any medical assistance, and she eventually passed away.
A local practitioner reported her death to Minghui and it was quickly published. Several days later a female guard complained to me. She said, “I wasn’t on duty the day she died. It had nothing to do with me, yet leaflets appeared all over the place, one even on my door, that claimed I was responsible. Over 400 detention center guards in our district all said that I was the one who persecuted her death. What should I do? You were there, you know the situation. You must serve as a witness for me.” I agreed to submit a correction to Minghui for her.
She went on, “How about how badly this is affecting me? Your Falun Dafa Minghui website tells lies.” I said, “Don’t you dare to say it had nothing to do with you! When that practitioner had seizures while you were on duty, did you try to help her?” She didn’t reply.
From what I know, the CCP uses small things like that to attack Dafa and discredit Minghui. If practitioners who are collecting information and submitting articles to Minghui can verify the facts more carefully, that would also help.
When the Final Judgement comes, not only those who behaved poorly will be put on trial, but those who played a positive role will also be examined as to whether they fulfilled their responsibilities without any omissions and whether their negligence had any negative impact.
Practitioners, please do not look at those you think are doing worse than you. Every one of us, without exception, must check ourselves first.
This is my understanding at my current level. Please kindly point out anything inappropriate.
