(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 25 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Zhang Shuping from Beilou Township in the Yuhong District was recently arrested for distributing truth clarifying materials.
Ms. Hao Liping from Mutoudeng Town, Qinglong Town, and an over-80-year-old female practitioner were arrested on December 13, 2023, when they distributed calendars that had information about Falun Gong. The elderly practitioner was released later that day. Ms. Hao was taken to the Changli County Detention Center.
Xuan Shizhong (gender unknown) from the Shuangcheng District was arrested at his or her workplace by Yongzhi Police Station officers on January 6, 2024. It is unknown where Xuan is detained.
Ms. Liu Guilan and Ms. Zhang Shuhua were caught on surveillance cameras when they distributed information about Falun Gong. Zhengyang Police Station officers arrested them on December 23, 2023. Ms. Zhang was released later that day. Ms. Liu was held for 13 days in a detention house and then transferred to a detention center on January 5, 2024. That same day, her family was informed by Yan Guohui, head of the Domestic Security Division, that Ms. Zhang was put on bail pending trial.
Caiyuanzi Police Station officers arrested Li Yi on January 5, 2024. Li was interrogated at the police station and released later that day.
Wang Zhanhe was arrested and the home was ransacked. Wang was interrogated at the police station and was released later that day.
Gao Zuoyan was arrested by officers from the Caiyuanzi Police Station and detained for five days.
Ms. Chen Huimin and Mei Zhongshan were harassed by officers from the Xibali Police Station in Huilai County in November 2023. They were photographed.
Four practitioners, Mr. Wang Wanyong, He Yurong, Ms. Zhao Xiulan, and Li Yincheng, were harassed by Langshan Police Station officers who also photographed them.
Officers from the Tou’erying Police Station went to Ms. Liu Yongrong’s home on January 20, 2023. She was not there. The police got her cell phone number from her family members.
Ten practitioners were harassed by officers from the Tumu Police Station in mid-November 2023. They were: Liu Yushu, Ni Wenxiu, Li Xiulan, Zhang Jinfeng, Liu Jinmei, Zhang Xiuli, Qian Hong, Jin Lan, and Liu Junmei. Ni Wenxiu passed away a few days after being harassed.
