(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Sun Fengxia was arrested at home by eight officers from Heihe Police Department and Muling Police Department around 8 p.m. on September 10, 2024. They ransacked her place and seized a computer, a safe box, an identity card, and a copy of Zhuan Falun. She is being held in Heihe City Detention Center.
Her husband, Mr. Gao Yixi, was arrested on April 19, 2016, and died eleven days later in custody on April 30.
Ms. Yu Cuihua, Ms. Xiong Huaying, and Ms. Ran Yixian were recorded by surveillance cameras as they were removing a poster defaming Falun Gong in July 2024. Officers from the Yaohu Police Station ransacked their homes on August 21, seized five Falun Gong books from Ms. Yu’s place, and placed all three under house arrest for ten days.
As Ms. Gao Shuying spoke to a young man about the persecution of Falun Gong around 7 a.m. on October 3, 2024, he restrained her and called the police. She was arrested by Jianshe Police Station officers and taken to the Tahe County Police Department for interrogation. They extorted a 10,000 yuan “guarantee” money from her before she was released in the afternoon.
Bao Yukun of the Xinmin District, gender unknown, was recently sentenced to three years in prison with one year of probation. Bao was released.
When Ms. Li Shuyan returned home after shopping in the morning street market on September 28, 2024, two police officers followed her intside. They ransacked the place and took her to the Desheng Police Station in the Chuanying District. They asked her if she had removed a poster with messages defaming Falun Gong and ordered her to sign her bail release document. She refused to comply. She was released around 5 p.m. after the police extorted 1,000 yuan from her family.
Ms. Yang Yuhui was released on September 29, 2024 after she finished serving a seven-year prison term.
