(Minghui.org) As I was printing truth clarification materials at another practitioner’s home, I noticed the paper was a bit wrinkled and jammed after a few pages. We both looked within for our shortcomings and tried communicating with the printer, but it didn’t work. In sharings with other practitioners, a common theme was to look within and cultivate ourselves when we meet with problems. Printer issues often resolved themselves after they found their attachments. But our printer still didn’t work, and a lot of paper was wasted. The other practitioner said, “Let’s send righteous thoughts.” I agreed.

As I sat there, I wondered what I should focus on when sending righteous thoughts. Should I eliminate those bad thoughts in my mind, or should I eliminate those evil factors that were interfering with the printer? I thought, “The universe is being rectified by the Fa. I’m a Dafa disciple, and I cultivate the great way of the cosmos. If I have attachments, I will rectify myself. How can I allow the evil to test me with a paper jam? The printer was chosen by Dafa disciples to help save people, and the paper is also a valuable resource.”

We both looked for our attachments and found many, but the paper was still jamming. The more the other practitioner looked for his attachments, the more anxious he got, and the less we could stay calm. This became a vicious cycle. If we went on like this, wouldn’t we be acknowledging the old forces arrangements?

Master Li said:

“But it becomes simple at higher levels, where there’s no longer any concept of cultivation but only the concept of karma elimination. At levels higher up, all troubles are to pave the way for ascending to Heaven. And at even higher levels, concepts like eliminating karma, enduring hardships, and cultivation no longer exist, and it’s just a choice! This is the principle at high levels of the cosmos: You think someone is good enough, so you choose him—that’s the principle.” (Teachings Given on Lantern Festival Day, 2003)

I thought, “This printer was chosen by Dafa disciples to print materials and save people. Nothing is allowed to interfere. Whatever interferes will be eliminated.”

After sending righteous thoughts, I said to the printer, “All sentient beings in the universe are choosing their future. I hope you can cooperate with us by printing these materials and helping Master to save people. You should take the path arranged by Master and choose a bright future.” It seemed the printer understood. When I turned it on, it worked just fine.

I’m very grateful for Master’s strengthening and protection.
