(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Tian Haiying in Serious Condition
2. [Heishan County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Ruifeng in Solitary Confinement at the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison
3. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. He Xinfang Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
4. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Shujie and Ms. Zhao Hong’e Face Trial
5. [Ruichang City, Jiangxi Province] A Female Practitioner Arrested
6. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Mr. Guo Zixiang and Mr. Zhang Yuchun Harassed
7. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Six Practitioners Harassed
8. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Zhu Qi’e Repeatedly Harassed

1. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Tian Haiying in Serious Condition

Ms. Tian Haiying of Chaisang District has been detained since August 20, 2024. Her family received a call from Shahe Police Station in October 2024. The caller said Ms. Tian was taken to the Jiujiang City Prison Hospital and asked the family to send her some clothes.

Ms. Tian’s family learned from an insider that she experienced dizziness and chest tightness in the detention center, and that she was taken to the hospital after she fainted due to extremely high blood pressure. The police didn’t immediately inform the family of her condition but did so two days later. As the Chaisang District Procuratorate had approved her arrest in September 2024, she is now facing prosecution. The police indicated that they wouldn’t release her on bail despite her physical condition.

2. [Heishan County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Ruifeng in Solitary Confinement at the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison

Ms. Wang Ruifeng of Heishan County was sentenced to four and a half years in prison by the Linghai City Court in 2022. She has been held in solitary confinement for refusing to renounce Falun Gong after she was admitted to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison.

3. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. He Xinfang Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. He Xinfang of Xingning City was sentenced to four years in prison around early October 2024. She was arrested on February 19, 2024, for distributing Falun Gong materials. The police raided her home and held her in the Chengdong Detention Center in Meizhou City. Meizhou oversees Xingning.

4. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Shujie and Ms. Zhao Hong’e Face Trial

Ms. Zhang Shujie and Ms. Zhao Hong’e were scheduled to appear in a local court at 10:30 a.m. on October 10, 2024. The court later canceled the hearing without providing a reason and a new court date is yet to be scheduled.

5. [Ruichang City, Jiangxi Province] A Female Practitioner Arrested

A female practitioner in her 50s, name unknown, was arrested by officers from Ruichang City Domestic Security Division on August 20, 2024. She has been detained since then. 

6. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Mr. Guo Zixiang and Mr. Zhang Yuchun Harassed

Mr. Guo Zixiang of Daxinzhuang neighborhood was harassed at home by six officers from the Daxinzhuanlice Station around 3 p.m. on October 1, 2024. Two officers, one carrying a machine gun and the other carrying a pistol, barred his door. Police chief Zhang and others tried to take photos of him. He refused to comply. They then took photos of his front yard.

Mr. Zhang Yuchun of Guotun Village was harassed, too.

7. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Six Practitioners Harassed

The police officers in Qingshan Township harassed at least six practitioners at their respective homes on September 11 and 12, 2024. 

Ms. Zhou Qiling was harassed by officers Bian Zhonghua and Wang Tao on the afternoon of September 12. The officers took photos of her against her will. They had gone to her home the day before, but she was not at home.

Mr. Zhang Liyou was harassed four times on September 11 and 12. They took photos of him against his will.

Wang Yuhua, gender unknown, was harassed after 3 p.m. on September 12. They took photos against his or her will.

Ms. Zhang Junyan was harassed on September 12. They demanded to have her residential registration card and her cell phone number and took photos.

Wang Mingjiu, gender unknown, was harassed on September 12. They demanded Wang’s cell phone number and took photos.

Mr. Jiao Shoutong works in a construction site. He was harassed at work by two officers around 6 p.m. on September 12. They questioned him if he still practiced Falun Gong and took photos of him against his will.

8. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Zhu Qi’e Repeatedly Harassed

Ms. Zhu Qi’e talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Touqiao Residential District on February 15, 2024. Someone reported her to the Yunyan District Domestic Security Division. Two officers from the Domestic Security Division, two officers from the Shixilu Police Station, and two women from the Haiwen Residential Committee went to her home on February 21. They ransacked her place, seized a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and other items. They took her to the police station, questioned her, and released her a half hour later.

Chen from the residential committee and an officer from the police station went to Ms. Zhu’s home on April 9, 2024, and ordered her to sign three documents renouncing Falun Gong. She didn’t comply.

Chen returned on July 2, 2024, with officers Du and Lu from the police station and ordered her to fingerprint a document. She still refused to comply.

The police harassed her two more times, on September 14 and 27, 2024, asking her if she still practiced Falun Gong.
