(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 21 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qin Yingli Facing Trial

Ms. Qin Yingli was scheduled to stand trial on October 25, 2024.

2. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Yanming Admitted to Hulan Prison

Mr. Wang Yanming was arrested on June 28, 2023, and later sentenced to 3.5 years with a 20,000-yuan fine. He was admitted to the Hulan Prison in August 2024. His family have not been allowed to visit him since his arrest.

3. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gou Yanhong Detained

Ms. Gou Yanhong was arrested by Panjin Domestic Security Division officers on October 3, 2024, and has been detained in the Panjin City Detention Center since.

4. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] More than Ten Practitioners Arrested in One Day

More than ten practitioners were arrested around the same time on the morning of September 20, 2024. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books, computers, and a total of over 70,000 yuan in cash. Four practitioners were released that same day, while the remaining three were detained for seven days. Two of these practitioners, including Ms. Zhou Jiuju, were forced to pay 20,000 yuan for bail. Ms. Zhou is now facing trial, indicted for mailing letters with information about Falun Gong to the local police, prosecutors and judges.

5. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Weimin Arrested

Mr. Li Weimin from Qing County was recently arrested after being reported to the police for raising awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong.

6. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Kuihua, 78, her daughter, Ms. Zhang Guorong, 59, and Ms. Yan Zhiqiu, 72, were arrested on September 23, 2024 and have been held at the Suihua City Detention Center since.

7. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yang Sizhen, her husband Mr. Xiao Wenxue, and Ms. Guo Chunfang were arrested in their rental apartments on Tianfeng Street at around 9 a.m. on October 14, 2024. More than 20 officers from Suining City and Daying County were involved in the arrest. They confiscated the practitioners’ office supplies and equipment used to print informational materials about Falun Gong. The three practitioners have been detained in Daying County since. 

Mr. Yang Sanlun was arrested a day later. Details about his situation aren’t clear. 

8. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Lixia Facing Trial

Ms. Li Lixia from Huapi Town, Xinle City, was arrested by officers from the Zhentou Police Station in Qiaoxi District, Shijiazhuang City, on March 25, 2024. The reason for her arrest is that she removed words slandering Falun Gong from a display board at a park in Shijiazhuang City. She has been detained in the Shijiazhuang City Second Detention Center. She is now facing trial in the Qiaoxi District Court. Her family was harassed by officers from the Huapi Town Police Station for seeking her release.

9. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zang Yongjian Released after Serving Two Years

Mr. Zang Yongjian was arrested in 2022 and sentenced to two years. He was released from the Baoding City Detention Center on September 26, 2024.

10. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Qu Jinlan and Mr. Wei Honggang Harassed

Several officers from the Baiyilaga Township Police Station went to Ms. Qu Jinlan’s home in the No. 5 Branch of Hongguang Farm on October 16, 2024. They searched her home but didn’t find anything. They took photos of Ms. Qu.

The same officers also went to Mr. Wei Honggang’s home in the No. 3 Branch of Hongguang Farm that same day, but he wasn’t in at the time.
