(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

9. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Practitioner Zhang Junhua Released on Bail
10. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Targeted for Their Faith

1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Ren Ming Arrested

Ms. Ren Ming, 66, a retired employee of the Wuhan High Voltage Research Institute, was arrested at home on October 24, 2024, and detained for ten days.

2. [Shanghai] Mr. Xu Yongqing Files Motion with the Supreme People’s Court to Reconsider His Case

Mr. Xu Yongqing was sentenced to four years by the Liandu District Court in Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, on November 2, 2022. After his appeal by rejected by the intermediate court, he filed a motion to reconsider his case with Zhejiang Province High Court in June 2024. After the motion was denied, he filed another motion to reconsider his case with the Supreme People’s Court in September 2024.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Shulian Arrested

Ms. Gao Shulian was reported to the police in October 2024 for distributing calendars with information about Falun Gong. The officers followed her to her home and arrested her.

4. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chu Qingzhen Arrested

Ms. Chu Qingzhen was arrested on October 29, 2024. She was held at the Muyudian Police Station overnight and transferred to the Fushan District Detention Center in Yantai City the next morning.

5. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Deng Xiufeng Released After Serving 10 Years in Prison

Ms. Deng Xiufen was admitted to the Guangdong Province Women’s Prison on August 17, 2016, to serve a ten-year term. She was released on October 27, 2024.

6. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jiang Fengqin Arrested

Ms. Jiang Fengqin was arrested on the evening of October 24, 2024, and released that night.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Zhao Harassed

Officers from the Sandongqiao Police Station have been harassing practitioner Zhao, over 80 years old, over the past year. Zhao’s home was ransacked three times, and the officers confiscated Falun Gong books and other personal belongings.

8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Detained for a Day

Ms. Wu from the Huanggu District was reported to the police at the end of September 2024 for distributing Falun Gong materials. Officers from the Tawan Police Station checked surveillance video and arrested her around October 8. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and over 10 Falun Gong booklets.

The Tawan Police Station forced the detention center to admit Ms. Wu even though she failed the physical exam. She was released the following afternoon.

9. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Practitioner Zhang Junhua Released on Bail

Officers from Wenshui County Police Department and the Yingpan Police Station ransacked Zhang Junhua’s home on September 20, 2024. They confiscated a computer, a printer, and Falun Gong books. Zhang has been released on bail.

10. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Targeted for Their Faith

Ms. Yang Cuiling from Dongwangzhuang Village, Wangcun Township, was released from the Laishui Coounty Detention Center on October 25, 2024, after seven days of administrative detention.

Ms. Wang Shuqin was released after 15 days of administrative detention.

Mr. Xia Hongmin from Dongguan Village has been held in Laishui Detention Center for over five months. The Laishui County Procuratorate approved his arrest and transferred his case to the Zhuozhou City Procuratorate, which then indicted him and moved his case to the Zhuozhou City Court.
