Germany: People Learn About Falun Dafa and Condemn the Persecution in China

Nov. 2, 2024 |   By Minghui correspondent Dexiang in Munich, Germany

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held an information day event in Chemnitz on October 26, 2024. They introduced Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) to local residents and told them about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 25-year persecution and its forced organ harvesting from unlawfully imprisoned practitioners. The activities drew the attention of many passersby, who received fliers, talked with practitioners, and signed a petition calling for the persecution to end.

Practitioners held an information day in Chemnitz on October 26, 2024.

Chemnitz is the third largest city in Saxony, Germany, after Leipzig and Dresden. During the communist rule of East Germany, the city was renamed Karl Marx City in 1953. After the collapse of Eastern European communism and before the reunification of East and West Germany, on April 23, 1990, residents voted to restore the name of Chemnitz. After the reunification of East and West Germany, more than 7,000 new companies were established in the area. In 2020, the city was selected as the European Capital of Culture for 2025.

People learn about Falun Dafa.

People sign a petition calling for an end to the persecution.

Artist Praises Falun Dafa’s “Extremely Beautiful Principles”

Andreas Wisner, a local artist, said, “I know what’s happening in China, especially the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners and the organ harvesting. Germany has had good reports on this, but few people pay attention to it. I would be very happy if the CCP were to disintegrate.”

Mr. Weisner said that the atmosphere of the event was good and peaceful, “I like the yellow color. I really like it.”

When he learned that the CCP did not allow people to practice Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance for 25 years, he said that most people didn’t know the regime did this. “(The CCP) cannot kill these universal principles of mankind. In the end, karma will follow, and the karma will be restored to those who started it. At a certain point, the whole thing will change dramatically and return to the people who caused it.”

He said the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance “are extremely beautiful principles in life. But sometimes it’s difficult to achieve them in the world. People encounter many things in life, even sometimes in Germany, and they need a lot of patience, self-discipline, and self-restraint.”

Mr. Weisner said the principles were beneficial to mankind. “If you can persist in doing so, you will live better and freer, and you will be connected to others and other living beings in another way.”

Opposing the Forced Organ Harvesting

Aaron hopes China changes.

Aaron passed by the practitioners’ booth and said the displays were eye-catching. “The materials they distribute are about organ harvesting, which is a very heavy topic.” He stopped to talk with practitioners.

“I listened again and felt that they (Falun Gong practitioners) are doing good things here.” Aaron read the petition carefully and signed it.

“It makes me sad that people are used to engaging in certain activities, such as organ harvesting or similar things. This should be decided by the person concerned. People have their own ideas, and no one wants to be tortured. People should be treated the way they want others to treat them. No one wants to have their organs stolen.”

Aaron said, “I think (what Falun Gong practitioners do) is a good thing, and China should really change in all aspects.” Aaron also felt that practitioners’ activities “really make people feel calm.” Hearing that the CCP persecutes Falun Gong practitioners and prohibits people from practicing Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, Aaron said that the CCP’s practices were bad and “(China) should really change.” “People also want to live peacefully and calmly and help each other. In fact, no one in the world really wants to see rivers of blood,” Aaron emphasized.

Talking about the CCP also reminds people of the past East Germany. “East Germany was so bad,” said Aaron. Although he did not experience the communist rule in East Germany, his mother grew up in East Germany. “It was a bad time. People had no freedom, as if they were imprisoned. You had to abide by the rules of the communist party, otherwise bad things happened.”

“(The Communist Party) also assigns people to do things that they don’t want to do,” said Aaron, who hopes that communism will not make a comeback, and said, “Communism is bad.”

The Principles Are for Everyone

The Derger couple saw practitioners’ information day activities and stopped to talk with them. The wife said that the CCP’s live organ harvesting is bad, and her husband agreed. They signed the petition.

Mr. Derger was a union secretary before he retired, and his wife was a civil employee in Saxony before she retired. They both felt that the atmosphere displayed by practitioners “makes people feel calm” and they agreed with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. They said it was unreasonable that the CCP did not allow people to practice these principles for the past 25 years.

His wife said, “It’s unimaginable that the CCP prohibits the practice just because it’s important to our lives.” She talked about her understanding of the principles, “These should be the principles for everyone.”
