(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Li Wen was arrested by officers from Baiquan Town Police Station on September 19, 2024. She has remained in custody.
Mr. Zhao Yungu, 86, from Bin County, was sentenced to three years and six months in prison and fined 30,000 yuan in September 2024. He appealed and the appeals court has ruled to uphold his original verdict.
Bailiffs from the Yilan County Court and Xicheng Police Station officers went to Mr. Zhao’s home at 1 p.m. on November 3, 2024. They called an ambulance, had the first aid personnel carry Mr. Zhao downstairs on a stretcher from the 7th floor, and took him to the hospital for a physical examination. The Bin County Detention Center refused to accept him and he was carried back home at 7 p.m.
Ms. Wang Fengling, about 56, from Hexi Town, and Ms. Xu Lina, 53, from Ganglou Village, Hexi Town, went to talk to people about Falun Gong in Xizhangdi Village, Jianzhuang Town, on the afternoon of November 6, 2024. They were reported to the police, and arrested by the Jianzhuang Town Police Station officers. The police took them to the Linxi County Detention Center on the afternoon of November 7 for 15 days.
Four officers from Caochi Town Police Station in the Eastern New Area, Chengdu City, along with several staffers from the Caochi Town Community, went to the homes of Lei Dawei, Ms. Xu Xiuying, and Ms. Chen Yuqun, in Yucheng Township, Caochi Town, in September 2024. They forced each practitioner to write a guarantee statement to quit practicing Falun Gong. They took away Falun Gong books and Falun Gong materials.
Li Hui from Wanzai County Domestic Security Division led seven people to break into Ms. Ouyang Meixiang’s home at around 5 p.m. on August 21, 2024 and searched the place. They confiscated several Falun Gong books and an audio player. They forcibly took pictures of her and recorded her voice. As Ms. Ouyang took a fall and was unable to walk, the police relented and didn’t arrest her.
