(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Fufeng County, Shaanxi Province] Practitioner Fei Zhuzhen Detained Over a Year and a Half

Fei Zhuzhen is a practitioner in Xiaoliu Zhaojia Village, Chenguan Town, Fufeng County. Fei was arrested by officers from the Xinqu Police Station on May 18, 2023, and has been detained ever since.

2. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Han Jinhua Arrested and Detained

Ms. Han Jinhua was arrested at home in Zhangjiakou City by officers from Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province, because she was recorded talking to people about Falun Gong when she stayed at her son’s home in Xi’an. She was taken back to Xi’an after her arrest. Her current whereabout is unknown.

3. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Huiqiang Arrested

Mr. Zhang Huiqiang was arrested in front of the building where he lives at 6:30 p.m. on October 21, 2024, by officers from the Shenyang City Domestic Security Division.

4. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Case Against Eight Practitioners Returned to the Police Department

Over 30 practitioners were arrested in four districts of Kunming City on June 6, 2024. Eight of them were placed under official arrest by the Xishan District Procuratorate. They are: Ms. Liu Cuixian, Ms. Liu Xiaoping, Ms. Ma Ling, Ms. Yang Huifang, Ms. Zheng Cuilan, Ms. Zhang Xiuzhen, Mr. Bi Sheng, and a female practitioner whose name wasn’t known. The female practitioners are being held in the Kunming City Detention Center and the male practitioners are in the Xishan District Detention Center.

The practitioners’ cases were later submitted to the Xishan District Procuratorate by the Xishan District Police Department. The prosecutor returned their case in early October 2024, citing insufficient evidence.

5. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhou Keming Released After Serving Four Years in Prison

Mr. Zhou Keming from the Jiguan District was arrested on October 12, 2020, and later sentenced to four years in prison. He was released on October 11, 2024.

6. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Three Practitioners Taken to the Brainwashing Center

Ms. Xu Julian, around 60; Ms. Qiu Daying, around 60; and Shao (gender and first name unknown), around 70, were arrested at the Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital on the morning of October 9, 2024. Ms. Xu’s home was ransacked in the afternoon and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. All three were taken to the Qingyunpu Brainwashing Center. Their current situation is unknown.
