(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 6 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Case Against Ms. Zhao Hong’e and Ms. Zhang Shujie Submitted to the Court

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Changqing Released After Serving Three Years in Prison

1. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Case Against Ms. Zhao Hong’e and Ms. Zhang Shujie Submitted to the Court

Ms. Zhao Hong’e, Ms. Zhang Shujie, and Ms. Yu Hua were arrested by officers from the Xicheng Police Station on May 22, 2024. They were first detained in the Dandong City Lockup. Ms. Zhao and Ms. Zhang were later transferred to a detention center.

Ms. Zhao and Ms. Zhang were placed under official arrest on June 25, 2024. Their case was submitted to the Zhen’an District Court by the Zhen’an District Procuratorate on September 20, 2024, and a hearing of their case was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on October 10, 2024, but the judge later canceled the session and returned the case to the procuratorate, citing insufficient evidence.

Ms. Yu’s case situation wasn’t clear.

2. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Ms. Huang Lanying Detained

Ms. Huang Lanying was arrested on October 13, 2024, for talking to people about Falun Gong in a park. She was released from the lockup on October 23, 2024.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Arrested

Ms. Sun from Heping District, who is in her 80s, recently went to a practitioner’s home along with two other practitioners. They were followed and arrested. Ms. Sun was released in the evening of that day. The situation of the other two practitioners is unknown.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Changqing Released After Serving Three Years in Prison

Mr. Wang Changqing from Zhuanghe City was arrested in October 2021, and was sentenced to three years in prison by the Pulandian District Court in May 2022. He had been detained in the Pulandian Detention Center before being released on October 16, 2024.
