(Minghui.org) Local residents and tourists learned about Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) at Mynttorget, a central square located near the Parliament Building in Stockholm, every Friday and Saturday afternoon in October 2024. They demonstrated the exercises and told people about how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes the spiritual discipline. Their activities received attention and support from many passers-by.

The Nobel Prize is announced during October, and Stockholm is the home of the Nobel Museum and a destination for tourists and outdoor enthusiasts. In the center of bustling Mynttorget, people can see practitioners peacefully meditating. When they learned about the CCP’s brutal persecution of people who believe in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and the CCP’s forced organ harvesting, many were stunned and indignant, and they signed the petition calling for an end to the brutality.

UK Couple Appreciates the Practitioners

When a couple from the UK passed by the event site, the wife stopped to talk with a practitioner while the husband read the display board. The wife was indignant when she learned that the CCP was harvesting organs from practitioners while they are still alive. She said that she saw the CCP’s true nature from its brutal suppression of Hong Kong's people. “Today I know even more clearly that the CCP is an evil regime. I signed the petition to support you.” She called her husband over and asked if he would sign.

He said, “Of course I’ll sign. Now I understand everything. They [Falun Gong practitioners] are not here to say how bad China is. They are exposing the evil and brutality of the CCP and the bad things it has done. They are doing great things.” So the couple both signed and repeatedly praised practitioners for doing very well and asked them to persevere.

Mother and Son Learn About Falun Dafa

A mother and son from Italy read the display board which had information about the CCP’s organ harvesting. The mother’s English was limited, so her son translated while he read it. When the mother learned about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting, she covered her mouth with her hands, her eyes wide open, and exclaimed, “Oh! This is bad, I can’t believe it!” They both signed the petition and said the CCP’s atrocities must be stopped.

Afterwards, a practitioner handed the mother a Falun Dafa leaflet in Italian and continued to introduce the practice to them. The mother listened very carefully. Finally, she said, “Such a peaceful practice is persecuted, but I’ve never seen any media reports. I’m really lucky to come to Sweden and meet you here. I’m interested in China’s traditional culture. Thank you very much for passing on this information. These [the information about Falun Gong] seem to have changed my life. Today is an important day for me.”

Sisters Wish to Help Practitioners

Two young girls from Finland passed by the activity site on the afternoon of October 25. When they saw the peaceful scene as practitioners did the exercises and the display board exposing the CCP’s persecution, they were stunned and said, “How could it be like this? This is so cruel. It’s unbelievable.”

They listened attentively to a practitioner’s explanation. They were indignant when they learned about the CCP’s inhumane persecution and the CCP’s forced organ harvesting. “Our hearts are broken. This is so inhumane!” one sister said. During the conversation, the practitioner learned that they are Christians, and they would pray for the persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners. They expressed their sympathy for the practitioners in China, and also said they would help stop the persecution and spread the truth to more people. Finally, the two young girls hugged and shook hands with the practitioner before leaving, “We will pray for you and help stop the persecution.”

Chinese Students Renounce the CCP

That afternoon, several young people from China who were studying in Finland came. They stayed for a long time at the event site, read the display boards and took photos. From their words and deeds, it was obvious that they had been deeply misled by the CCP propaganda.

The practitioners told them about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong and the CCP-staged Tiananmen self-immolation incident. They patiently answered the students’ questions and suggested they read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.

The young people silently listened as practitioners explained the facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution. Before leaving, almost all of them accepted the informational materials and copies of the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. One of the boys chose to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and said that when he returned to Finland, he would go to a local practice site and learn Falun Gong.
