(Minghui.org) From the north, where the ice and snow are melting, I would like to share a few stories about myself, as well as my relatives and friends who received blessings from Dafa.
While I was working in a store in 1998, a woman came in carrying a book. I asked her about it out of curiosity. She smiled and said, “You can take a look.” As I grasped the book, I thought, “Since I don’t know her, I should take a quick look and return it to her before she leaves.”
I flipped through the book quickly. When I returned the book to her, she smiled and said that I could take the book home to read it if I wanted. I didn’t know it was a heavenly book at the time, so I missed that opportunity.
My husband and daughter were not in good health at the time, and we had even asked a witch doctor for help. However, not only did their health subsequently worsen, I had also attracted possessing spirits to myself, and we had to worship a guardian spirit to resist those possessing spirits.
I was distressed by those spirits, and shared my troubles with a neighbor who lived downstairs. She invited me to her home to watch Master Li’s Falun Dafa lecture-series video. I accepted and told her that anything would be fine as long as I could get rid of those possessing spirits. However, before I finished watching the entire video, her family was ready for dinner. She asked me to continue watching, but I left because I did not want to interfere with their dinner.
That night, those low-level spirits of foxes, weasels, ghosts, and snakes came to possess me when I slept. I could not move any part of my body. I was anxious and didn’t know what to do. I remained immobile until I heard a train whistle nearby. I then started feeling better. But I dared not sleep, because I was afraid those things would return to torment me again.
After making it through to daybreak, I went to knock on my neighbor’s door and asked her, “Those who believe in Buddhism chant Amitabha; what do you chant for this practice?” She told me that I could call Master Li’s name for help when I was under an attack, but not at normal times.
On the second night, the spirits came again, and I knew what they were doing. I wanted to alert my family for help, but I couldn’t make a sound; my whole body felt restricted as if being held in a tight hoop. I tried to call Master’s name for help, but I couldn’t utter a sound. I then tried to write Master’s name with my finger. It was very difficult to write each of the strokes, and the characters I wrote were distorted. However, when I finished writing the characters, something miraculous happened—Master’s name emitted a golden light, and the spirits disappeared in an instant. Everything immediately returned to a normal state. I felt so comfortable that words were inadequate to describe it.
I had an indescribable fear at night in the past, and always looked forward to the coming of dawn. But I slept soundly that night, which I had never experienced before.
I told my neighbor, “It was very difficult for me to write the characters of Master’s name with my finger; they were all improperly formed. But they shone brightly.” She said I had a great predestined relationship with Dafa, and Master was taking care of me. She gave me a copy of the book Zhuan Falun. After reading it, I threw the tablet for worshiping the guardian spirit into the garbage.
With gratitude, I hand copied Dafa’s introductory book, Falun Gong, character by character. However, the persecution began shortly after I joined a group practice site. Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel sprayed the people who were practicing Falun Dafa with water hoses. I lost the environment for cultivation and did not dare to practice anymore. But I knew that Falun Dafa was good, and I followed my understanding of Dafa’s principles to be a good person.
A friend told me in 2018 that someone gave her a note reading, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” and that she received blessings after sincerely reciting the phrase. I asked her about the person and went to a mall she mentioned. I found Dafa practitioners there and returned to my path of cultivation.
Nineteen years after I first had heard about Dafa, I started cultivation practice in earnest. I read the Fa, cultivated myself diligently, and benefited both physically and mentally. My relatives and friends all witnessed the beauty of cultivating Falun Dafa.
My youngest brother and his wife sincerely recited the auspicious phrase “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance is good!” and benefited a lot.
I gave my youngest brother an amulet that had “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” inscribed on it, and hung the amulet in his car. When his child wanted to get married, he and his wife drove from Shanghai to help prepare the wedding ceremony. My brother was driving, but he was tired and fell asleep. Danger approached as the car headed toward a large on-coming truck. At the critical moment, the small bell on the amulet suddenly rang and woke him up. He saw the oncoming truck, broke out in a cold sweat, and turned the steering wheel just in time.
My brother exclaimed, “Thanks to the amulet, I was saved! The car was moving fast; I would have died otherwise!” After experiencing this incident, my brother and his wife are sincerely grateful to Dafa and Master for saving their lives.
My youngest sister-in-law had previously been married before she married my youngest brother. Her former-husband had passed away. One day, my brother called me from Shanghai and told me that her deceased husband had possessed her and would not leave. He asked me what to do.
I said, “It’s the Chinese New Year. In addition, the hospitals can’t treat this kind of problem. You two can recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ Ask her if she understands the phrase in her mind. If she understands, you can ask her to recite it silently. If she doesn’t understand, you can recite it out loud.” They sincerely recited, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance is good.” The deceased spirit left, and my sister-in-law returned to normal.
My youngest brother and his wife came back for the wedding, and my older brother accompanied them to visit my mother’s grave. My youngest sister-in-law was not in good health. Before they started walking back, she suddenly blacked out and her legs became weak. She could not walk, even with my two brothers supporting her. My youngest brother knew that he should recite the nine-character phrase, but he couldn’t remember the words because he was too anxious. He muttered, “How do I recite the nine-character phrase? How do I recite the nine-character phrase?”
Hearing his murmuring, my older brother hurriedly took out a one-yuan bill which I had given him a while earlier and read the characters on the bill to my youngest brother, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He recited it again and again and also asked his wife to say it in her mind.
After they recited for a while, my sister-in-law could walk again. She told us that when she had the attack, her eyesight was blacked out, and she couldn’t see the road. After reciting the nine-character phrase, the black substance in front of her eyes disappeared.
My youngest brother and his wife stayed for more than a dozen days. When I listened to Master’s teachings, my sister-in-law listened with me. I gave her a small audio player and asked her to keep listening to Master’s teachings after returning to Shanghai. She eagerly accepted. She saw the blessing “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” hanging on my door and asked, “Sister, can you give this to me?”
I took it off the door and gave it to her. She regarded it as a treasure. When she left for Shanghai, she brought along some paper currency with the nine-character phrase written on them. My sister-in-law is a kind person. She benefited from quitting the CCP and from reciting “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and wants others to receive blessings.
