(Minghui.org) Many of India’s festivals are held from August to October. For students, this is a time for them to engage in extracurricular activities.
Falun Dafa practitioners from the city of Nagpur hosted a series of Falun Dafa workshops at 15 schools in the area. Over the three months of the festival season, thousands of students and faculty attended the workshops and said they enjoyed them. Many of the attendees were appreciative of Falun Dafa’s core values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. They said that the practice helped students stay focused and calm, relieved their stress, and improved their mental and physical health.
On August 16, practitioners introduced and demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises at Adarsha Sanskar Vidyalaya and Junior College in Nagpur. Principal Sujata Pashine helped organize a session for 650 students and 20 teachers to learn the Falun Dafa exercises. Afterwards, the students had the opportunity to talk about how they felt while meditating with the group.

A 10th grader, Bhavna Pawar, said, “I felt relaxed. It’s really good and this will help me in my studies.” Pari, from the same class, added that she, “wishes to continue doing the exercises regularly.”

“I was able to do the exercises with full concentration and now I feel more focused towards my goals in life,” said Shubhangi, another 10th grader.

A student in the eighth grade, Suresh, mentioned the exercises’ calming effect, “The weather is too hot, but after doing the exercises I feel calm and cooler despite the sun’s heat.”

A swimming coach at the school said that Falun Dafa is good for health, and helps students to concentrate and stay calm.

At the end of the session, the practitioners taught the students to say “Falun Dafa is good,” and they all repeated the phrase enthusiastically.
Practitioners visited Sriniketan Madhyamik Vidyalaya Middle School on August 24, and principal Bhawana Bhowte heartily welcomed them.

A sixth grader, Premkumar Rana, was surprised to find his body felt lighter after he did the exercises. “My eyes are feeling relaxed,” he said. “[I felt] weightlessness, and all my tiredness vanished.”
A girl of the class shared her experiences. “I felt very different after doing the exercises. As soon as the music reached my ears my thoughts were silenced. I felt very much relaxed as I was having a lot of tension due to exam as well as other thoughts and tensions left,” she said. “Now I feel good.”
Jyoti Rathe, a teacher, also participated in the session. “[Falun Dafa] is very good for physical and mental health. I feel better. The exercises are also good for the students. If our mental state is good, we will be able to achieve great things in life,” she said.
On August 31, Falun Dafa practitioners demonstrated the exercises to roughly 1,500 students, 100 teachers, and 15 non-teaching staff at St. Paul School CBSE. Dr. Rajabhau Taksale is the founder of the school. When the practitioners spoke to him about their session, he read the Falun Dafa booklet closely and was impressed by the core principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.
The headmistress Sangeeta Phirke requested that practitioners come every week to lead the students in the exercises. “This meditation is useful and plays a major role in concentration of studies and you are always welcome in our school to teach our teachers and students the exercises,” she told practitioners.
Students from grades five through ten gathered in the school courtyard to learn the exercises. Many in the upper grades praised the slow-moving Falun Dafa exercises as a welcome diversion from the stress of the school day. The principal, Devangana Phunde, along with the school’s teachers and students, were thankful to the practitioners and gave positive feedback.

The head girl of the school, Tejaswi Jambhulkar, was very impressed by the exercises. “I felt mental peace,” she said. “It will help in my studies and I would definitely like to continue to do the exercises every day.”
Tejaswi also said that that the exercises made her feel “refreshed.” “I want to continue to do the Falun Dafa exercises forever as it is beneficial for our health,” she said, “I am happy that practitioners came to introduce the Falun Dafa exercises in our school.”
Akshara, a 10th grader, mentioned the power of the exercise music. “A tenth grader has a stressful life in school and in tuition, but after listening to the music I eventually calmed down and felt good,” she said.

Kanak Wankhede, another 10th grader, thanked the practitioners who came to teach the exercises. “I feel much better after doing the exercises as it is good for mind and body,” she said. “Thank you so much for coming to our school and teaching us this wonderful meditation. I would like to continue this cultivation practice.”
Kanak Wankhede, a 10th-grade student, believes Falun Dafa is good and wants to continue to practice.
“I used to experience severe back pain when I sat, but after doing the exercises the pain is gone,” said Kshitija, who is also in the 10th grade. “It refreshed my mind. I would like to join the exercises session and I want to know more about Falun Dafa.”
Tenth grader Kshitija said she felt refreshed after doing the exercises.
The teachers who learned the exercises also praised Falun Dafa for its relaxing and energizing effects. Trupti Jambhulkar, a fifth-grade teacher, said, “The meditation is good. I would like to do it every Saturday during the games period and, if possible, do it every day.”
Teacher Trupti Jambhulkar shared that she would like to do the Falun Dafa exercises every day if possible.
Veerangana Sahare, a physical education teacher, said “Falun Dafa is good for teachers and students and everyone, as it gives a spiritual and moral uplift.”
Arun, a high school teacher, said that he thought students should continue to practice Falun Dafa because “it will positively enhance their minds and thoughts.”
The practitioners gave an exercise demonstration at Wings English Higher School on September 2 to an audience of 300 students. Students found that the exercises helped them clear their minds and become less stressed.
Principal Minakshi Kondhalkar said that Falun Dafa meditation is good for students’ holistic development.

Kalak, a fifth grader, felt that the exercises had health benefits. “This meditation is amazing as it helped me get rid of my headache which I had in the morning and I am happy now,” he said.
Amartya Vaidya, a seventh grader, said, “I feel great now that I’ve finished the exercises, and my mind is totally peaceful.”
Akran Khan, a sixth grader, said that if he regularly performed the exercises, he felt “like his concentration would improve.”
Fifth grader Amol Kukreia said that he would like to do Falun Dafa exercises every day.
