(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

4. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Yingzhi and Huang Zhibi Taken to Brainwashing Centers
5. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Practitioner Zheng Detained
6. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Huang Wanping Arrested
7. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xiangping and Husband Mr. Pan Arrested
8. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Xiumei Detained
9. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Yuzhen Tried
10. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Huang Lanying and Ms. Chen Jing Released After Days of Detention

1. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yao Jiaxiu Formally Arrested

Ms. Yao Jiaxiu of Panzhihua City was formally arrested. She is being held in the Xichang City Detention Center. When her lawyer went to visit her on October 29, 2024, the Xichang City Police Department denied the request, with the excuse that he had already visited her once.

2. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chu Qingzhen Arrested

Ms. Chu Qingzhen was arrested at work, a supermarket, by several plainclothes officers on the afternoon of October 29, 2024. They raided her home, seized an unknown quantity of  personal items, and took her to the Muyudian Police Station.

3. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Mr. Bai Hongmin Held in Brainwashing Center

Mr. Bai Hongmin was arrested in mid-June 2024. He has been held in a brainwashing center in Hebi City and constantly pressed to renounce Falun Gong. His family members were also harassed and intimidated.

4. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Yingzhi and Huang Zhibi Taken to Brainwashing Centers

Ms. Liu Yingzhi was taken to the Pengzhou City Care Center (a brainwashing center) from her home by three Aoping Town 610 Office agents and two officers from Hongyan Police Station on the morning of October 16, 2024. She was released days later.

Huang Zhibi, gender unknown, was taken to the Pengzhou City Brainwashing Center from home by the Aoping Town 610 Office agents on the morning of October 24, 2024. Huang has also been released.

5. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Practitioner Zheng Detained

Zheng, first name and gender unknown, lives in Huanghai Machinery Plant. Zheng was arrested by Lu’nanpai Police Station officers around late October 2024 and is being held in the Nancheng Detention Center.

6. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Huang Wanping Arrested

Ms. Huang Wanping, nearly 80 and living alone, was arrested at home by five agents from the Shuilu Police Station and 610 Office around 7 p.m. on October 3, 2024. The police revealed that she was reported by three students for talking to them about Falun Gong. The police searched her place, seized all of her Falun Gong books and nearly a hundred amulets with Falun Gong messages. She was taken to the police station for interrogation. The police also took photos of her and recorded her voice. She was released two hours later.

7. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xiangping and Husband Mr. Pan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiangping and her husband, Mr. Pan, first name unknown, were arrested in late October, 2024. Details about their arrests are unknown.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Xiumei Detained

Ms. Wang Xiumei of Majuqiao Town, Tongzhou District was arrested on October 3, 2024, outside of her condo by Majuqiao Police Station officers. She is being held in a local detention center.

9. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Yuzhen Tried

Ms. Han Yuzhen, in her 70s, appeared in the Shulan City Court on October 21, 2024. She testified in her own defense. Three police officers showed up at Ms. Han’s home on October 29 and attempted to take her to the court again. She refused to comply and insisted that she didn’t violate any law in practicing Falun Gong. The police left after over an hour and threatened to come back soon.

10. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Huang Lanying and Ms. Chen Jing Released After Days of Detention

Ms. Huang Lanying and Ms. Chen Jing were arrested by officers from the Qingyuan Police Station, after they were reported for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Chang’an Park on October 13, 2024. Ms. Huang was detained for 10 days and Ms. Chen 7 days.
