(Minghui.org) The history of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) over the past several decades is a trail stained with the blood of its brutal tactics. From seizing private businesses (the 1950s) and targeting landlords in the Land Reform (the 1950s) to attacking intellectuals in the Anti-Rightist Campaign (the late 1950s), the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976), the Tiananmen Square Massacre (1989) the persecution of Falun Gong (since 1999), and the military-style COVID-19 lockdowns, there have been endless tragedies and tears.
But many people are not aware of this. Because the CCP has brainwashed them so thoroughly, some youth even defend the regime’s harsh measures. Known as “Little Pinks,” they do not know that the CCP’s brutality will sooner or later sweep up everyone—it is just a matter of time. Reading the following examples of how Falun Gong practitioners have been mistreated might help them understand the reality.
Two police officers visited 88-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Sun Juru from Zhoushan City in Zhejiang Province at home on July 3, 2020. They said they were there to get a sample of his blood. When Mr. Sun asked why, one of the officers replied, “We are supplementing you nutritionally this way.”
Since the CCP began to suppress Falun Gong in July 1999, the law enforcement system has been abused to persecute innocent practitioners. Below are more examples of such hooligan-like remarks made by CCP officials to practitioners like Mr. Sun gleaned from Minghui.org over the past five years.
“We Can Arrest You and Beat You Up Anytime!”
Mr. Deng Chuanjiu, a practitioner from Penghou City, Sichuan Province, was sentenced to four years in 2017. When his term expired, however, agents from Pengzhou 610 Office picked him up at the prison for continued detention instead of releasing him.
Liao Xiaohui, deputy mayor of Gexianshan Township where Mr. Deng lived, beat him in public. “I know I won’t win you over by reasoning,” Liao said, “so I’ll just beat you. Sign the statements now [to renounce your belief]!” Mr. Deng did not comply.
About a month after releasing Mr. Deng, Liao and three other officers arrested him at home again on the evening of November 22. They tortured him, leaving him bruised all over. As the officials were ransacking his home, Liao told Mr. Deng’s family, “This is just the beginning. We can arrest you and beat you up anytime!”
Police officer: “I’m Depraved—I Just Want To Hit People.”
Ms. Wang Juan is a practitioner from Changsha City, Hunan Province. As she was leaving home at 6 a.m. on February 28, 2022, she was picked up and taken to Wenyilu Police Station and brutally beaten. “I am a good citizen. Why are you keeping me in the basement and beating me?” she asked.
One of the officers gave a fake name and said, “I have resigned, and today is my last day. I’m depraved—I just want to hit people!” Other officers chimed in, ordering her to give up her belief in Falun Gong; otherwise, they would send her to jail.
The officers also forced Ms. Wang to have a physical exam and continued beating her throughout the so-called exam. After Ms. Wang returned home 15 days later, she was continually monitored by local household registration officers.
Police Officer: “I Won’t Bear Any Responsibility If I Beat You to Death.”
Mr. Chen Zaishan was a practitioner in his 80s from Haiyang City, Shandong Province. He was arrested on November 9, 2018, while working in the fields.
Inside the Development Zone Police Station, one officer beat Mr Chen very badly. When Mr. Chen asked why he would beat an innocent old man so badly, the officer said, “It is because you are a Falun Gong practitioner. I won’t bear any responsibility if I beat you to death.” Mr. Chen was later released.
Inmates: “We will Cripple you, Cure you, and Cripple You Again.”
In Guangdong Province, 59-year-old Mr. Wu Haibo used to work for a pharmaceutical company in Zhanjiang City. He was sentenced to five years in Sihui Prison in Guangdong Province by the Xiashan Court in June 2016..
The guards and inmates tortured Mr. Wu without mercy. He was forced to squat for a long time and deprived of sleep. He had no access to a toilet and endured incessant humiliation. Instigated by the guards, one inmate said, “We will cripple you, cure you, and cripple you again.”
“You Can Die Now”
Ms. Zhang Luchan began to work as a janitor on a Yellow River bridge near Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, in October 2020. Police officers from the Lanzhou New District Domestic Security Bureau harassed her at work. The political instructor, Wang Daowen, said they would make Ms. Zhang’s life “worse then death.”
On September 17, 2021, Wang threatened to pressure Ms. Zhang’s manager to fire her. “I feel like pushing you off the bridge,” he said.
Two days later, Wang returned and said to Ms. Zhang, “The campaign to keep the city clean in its bid to win the ‘Civilized City’ title has ended. You can die now.” He threatened to take Ms. Zhang to a brainwashing center in the Lanzhou New District.
“If You Disappear, Then I Won’t Have These Troubles”
Ms. Wang Xiuhua, a practitioner in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, was called to the neighborhood administration on June 1, 2021. An officer surnamed Lu said they would send her to a brainwashing center.
Ms. Wang said she was trying to be a better person by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and she’d done nothing wrong. The officer got furious and said, “Don’t you dare call out ‘Falun Dafa is good’ and ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ If you do, I will arrest you right now!
“If you disappear in a few days, then I won’t have to deal with you or have these troubles,” he added. In communist China, if the Party wants someone “to disappear,” it means that person will “be gone without a trace.” This is consistent with the policy handed down from the CCP Central 610 Office to “eliminate them [Falun Gong practitioners] physically” when the suppression started in 1999.
“I Will Hammer You to Death”
Ms. Peng Jie retired from the Jianglu Machinery Factory in Xiangtan City, Hunan Province. She was arrested and taken to the Wanlou Police Station at 7 a.m. on August 18, 2020. Luo Kaiqiang and Sun from the Domestic Security Office interrogated her.
Because Ms. Peng pointed out that the police used letters about Falun Gong from other sources to fabricate evidence against her, Luo got angry and threatened to hammer Ms. Pengher to death. He and Sun ordered her to sign the fabricated photos, but she refused.
Police Director: “I Will Shoot You Dead”
Ms. Li Lihong is a middle school teacher in Ningxiang Township, Hunan Province. For talking to people about Falun Gong, she was arrested on July 23, 2021, by Baimaqiao Police Station officers and detained for 7 days.
Zhang Jie, director of the police station, often knocked Ms. Li’s head with a finger, shouting, “I will shoot you dead.”
“I Will Beat You to Death If You Come Here Again”
Ms. Zhou Shuying is a practitioner in her 80s from Yantai City, Shandong Province. She and another practitioner went to a community fair in Penglai City on November 14, 2021, and told people about Falun Gong. A plainclothes officer arrested Ms. Zhou and took her to Nanwang Police Station. Although the police didn’t detain her due to her age, they threatened to beat her to death if she came again.
“Whoever Sues Jiang Zemin Will Be Arrested and Killed”
Zheng Yong, a police officer from Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province, and other officials including grid manager Li Dan went to harass several Falun Gong practitioners on July 18, 2019.
The practitioners targeted included Ms. Yang Shiying, Ms. Yang Jifang, Ms. He Xuelan, and Ms. Wang Errang. Officials searched their apartments and took pictures. Yang peeled off the couplet phrases on Ms. Yang’s door and warned, “Whoever sues Jiang [Zemin, the former head of the CCP who ordered the persecution] will be arrested and killed.”
“You Should Have Died a Long Time Ago”
Ms. Wei Denghui of Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, was a former instructor at Sichuan Chemical Group University. She was summoned to the Shuicheng Police Station on August 19, 2022, and interrogated by Chen Fugang from the Jintang County Police Department.
Ms. Wei refused to answer any quesetion and pointed out that Chen was trying to make her “confess.” “I was already nice to you because I did not handcuff you,” Chen replied. “The CCP treats you so well by giving you a salary and getting the pandemic under control. Yet you still oppose it. You should have died a long time ago.”
“I Will Break Your Fingers”
Besides physical abuse and mental stress, CCP officials intimidate practitioners with additional harm and pain. Three practitioners from Baoding County (Ms. Zhang Shuping, Mr. Xia Hongmin, and Ms. Ji Xianglan) went to a farmer’s market in Laishui Town on January 20, 2021, to tell people the facts about Falun Gong.
After arresting the practitioners and taking them to Laishui Police Station, the police confined them in metal chairs and collected their fingerprints and footprints. An officer said to Ms. Zhang and Ms. Ji, “If you refuse to let us collect your fingerprints, I will break your fingers.”
Village Party Secretary: “I Will Freeze You for 7 Days If You Dare to Practice”
Ms. Liao Mingxiang is a resident of Mengyang Town, Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province. Yang Qiongying, deputy Party secretary of Wangcun Village where Ms. Liao lives, said to her, “I will freeze you for seven days if you dare to practice [Falun Gong anymore].”
“You Can’t Leave the Community Until You Sign the Statement”
Mr. Gou Jiawen is a practitioner in Chengdu Cit, Sichuan Province. Someone knocked on his door on the morning of September 15, 2023. When Mr. Guo asked who was there, the person said he was Luo Xiaoyong from the neighborhood administration. When Mr. Gou opened the door, nine people rushed in.
These officials ordered Mr. Gou to sign a statement. One of them said, “You can’t leave the community until you sign the statement to renounce Falun Gong. Not only that, we will stop your pension issued by the Social Security Bureau.” Several officers pushed his finger onto the ink pad and then pressed his finger on the prepared statement. They then grabbed his hand and scribbled on the statement.
610 Office Agent: “We Will Go after Your Son Forever and He Won’t Have a Normal Life”
Ms. Yang Songli is a resident of the Shapingba District in Chongqing. Zheng Guolun from the Jiangbei 610 Office and four other officers went to her place on April 12, 2023, to arrest her son, 39-year-old Mr. Gao Yang. Finding that he wasn’t there, Zheng said to 67-year-old Ms. Yang, “It’s okay for you to practice Falun Gong and improve your health since you are old. Your son Gao Yang is still young and he cannot do it.”
“We will go after your son forever and he won’t have a normal life,” Zheng said. “We will get him one day.”
Officer: “Your Are My Enemy If You Are Affiliated with Falun Gong”
Ms. Chen Qihua lives in Zhihe Town, Pengzhou City, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. On August 2, 2022, someone banged on the door. She opened it and saw the director and other officers from Zhihe Police Station, as well as someone in white coat and people from the neighborhood administration. One female officer yelled, “Come and search this place!”
Ms. Chen tried to persuade the officers not to participate in the persecution. Before she could finish, the officer shouted, “You are my enemy if you are affiliated with Falun Gong. I represent the state authority and can take action against you.”
In the early days of the persecution, Jiang Zemin instructed the 610 Office to mistreat Falun Gong practitioners: “Defame their reputations, bankrupt them financially, and destroy them physically.” Below are some examples of financial persecution.
“Don’t Even Think about Getting the Money Back”
Mr. Zhao Baolie owns a business in Taocun Township, Qixia City, Shandong Province. When he went to Miaohou Township to distribute Falun Gong materials in 2017, he was arrested and taken to a detention center. The police extorted 20,000 yuan from his family and released him on bail.
When Mr. Zhao’s younger sister asked when the 20,000 yuan would be returned, the police director replied, “Don’t even think about it [getting the money back].”
“Pay 100,000 Yuan and I Will Release Her”
Ms. Xuan Lifen is a practitioner in Qian’an City, Hebei Province. She was arrested on October 18, 2021, and detained.
Because an elderly family member of hers died, Ms. Xuan’s family insisted that she be released to attend the funeral. One police officer said, “Pay 100,000 yuan and I will release her.” The family had to postpone the funeral for 12 days until Ms. Xuan finished serving her detention.
Extorted 240,000 Yuan
Ms. Liu Guohua, a practitioner from Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, was arrested on May 12, 2021. Officers from Xindu Police Department and Banzhuyuan Police Station implied that the family could pay 240,000 yuan for her release.
Liu Jian, another officer from Guihu Police Station, also demanded that the family pay, but they didn’t comply. Ms. Liu was sentenced to three years.
Village Party Secretary: “One Phone Call Will Get You Fired”
Ms. Yang Shanrong is a Falun Gong practitioner in Mengyang Township, Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province. Three village officers including Chen Shichao and Tang Song harassed her on April 17 and September 12, 2021.
They coerced Ms. Yang’s daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter to beg Ms. Yang to give up her belief. Chen threatened them, “If I make a phone call to your school or your employer, you will be expelled from school or fired from your job. You decide what to do.”
One Phone Call Will Make You Homeless
Mr. Guan Ziping is a practitioner from Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. Officers from Xigu District and Hekounan Police Station took him to a brainwashing center in the Xigu District on May 18, 2021.
Several officers including Xigu District Party secretary and a so-called “brainwashing expert” took turns slandering Falun Gong from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. “One phone call from me will make you jobless and another phone call from me will make you homeless. No one will dare to hire you or rent an apartment to you.” They also threatened to go after his grandparents, children, and grandchildren.
