(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Tian Zhonggui (gender unknown) and Ms. Lu Yufu from Gaoqi Village, Baojia Township, were arrested at home by officers from the Beizhen City Domestic Security Division and the Baojia Township Police Station on February 28, 2024. Their homes were ransacked.
Ms. Zhang Yuzhen was reported to the police on February 28, 2024, for talking to people about Falun Gong and distributing Falun Gong materials in Wenzhou Mall. She was arrested, taken to the Wenzhou Mall Police Station, and transferred to the Xingqing District Police Department that afternoon. She was later taken to the Yinchuan City Political Security Division. She is being held in the Yinchuan City Detention Center.
Mr. Wang Jinshui and his wife from Yangxin County were arrested at home on February 18, 2024. The police ransacked their home and confiscated Falun Dafa books. The couple was held in the police station for eight hours and then released.
Mr. Li, nicknamed Shunyi, from Guangshan County was arrested and taken to the Guangshan County Detention Center by Guangshan County Police Department officers on January 31, 2024. He is still held there.
Ms. Wu Junfang remains in custody. Her husband was released on February 26, 2024, and has returned home.
Ms. Zhao Xiuying from the Fengrun District talked to people about Falun Gong at a farmers market on the morning of February 28, 2024. Plainclothes officers took the truth clarification periodical she was carrying and ransacked her home. They confiscated Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, booklets, cell phones, and phone books.
Ms. Xiu Zhan’e from the Kuiwen District was reported to the police when she was handing out Falun Gong materials in front of a supermarket on February 28, 2024. Seven people from the Liyuan Police Station, Liyuan Sub-district Administration Office, and Yingnan Village in the Kuiwen District broke into Ms. Xiu’s home and ransacked it. They confiscated four photos of the founder of Falun Gong and 51 Falun Gong books. They took Ms. Xiu to the police station and interrogated her for eight hours. She has returned home.
