(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 27 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Mr. Huang Xuejun Held in Brainwashing Center

Mr. Huang Xuejun of Anlu City was arrested in Wuhan City in early April 2024. He was taken back to Anlu City, detained for 37 days, then held in the Changsong brainwashing center. He has been held there for two weeks.

Mr. Huang was repeatedly arrested and subjected to brainwashing for practicing Falun Gong. He was sentenced to four years in prison and fired from Puai Hospital. He now does odd jobs to make a living.

2. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Lu Qing Sentenced

Mr. Lu Qing was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison.

3. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Minghua Incarcerated

Ms. Li Minghua was taken to Liaoning Province No. 2 Women’s Prison. Her friends learned this when they tried to drop off some clothes for her at the Huludao Detention Center on June 14, 2024.

4. [Huanggang City, Hebei Province] Ms. He Xiaolan Arrested, Ms. Huang Jinlian Detained

Ms. He Xiaolan of Xishui County, in her 70s, talked to Shiyan High School students about the persecution of Falun Gong on Runda Square on the morning of June 5, 2024. Some students photographed her and reported her to the police. She was arrested at her home that afternoon. Officers seized three Falun Gong books and took her to the Qingquan Police Station. She was released late that night.

Ms. Huang Jinlian, 61, was also reported by the students. She was detained.

5. [Taian City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Peijuan Released, Ms. Zhu Rongping Detained

Ms. Wang Peijuan, 68, is a resident of Sijiazhuang, Daiyue District. Ms. Zhu Rongping, 64, is a retiree of Taian City,

Daiyue District Political and Security Brigade officer Xu Chongjun, Taishan District 610 Office leader Tian Lin, and a group of officers knocked on their apartment door after 1:00 p.m. on June 12, 2024, posing as community clerks. As soon as they opened the door, the officers rushed in, arrested Ms. Wang and Ms. Zhu, handcuffed them, pushed them into a police car, and them to the police station for interrogation. The officers seized Falun Gong books and printouts that were in the apartment.

The practitioners were forced to undergo physical exams the next day. Ms. Zhu was put into the Taian City Detention Center in the morning. Daiyue District Political and Security Brigade officer Zhao Feng insisted on taking Ms. Wang to the detention center although her blood pressure was extremely high. The guards refused to admit her. She was released on the evening of June 13, 2024.

6. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Tian Yuxiang Detained

Ms. Tian Yuxiang lives in Xinzhan Town, Zhaoyuan County. Local police station officers knocked on her door on the afternoon of May 28, 2024. They said they just wanted to take photos of her and asked her to take down the “Falun Dafa Is Good” sign from her door. She refused to open her door. They broke in, arrested her, ransacked the place, seized her computers, printers, Falun Gong books, and other items. Ms. Tian was dragged into a police car and detained for 15 days. She was released on June 12, 2024.

7. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Many Practitioners Arrested

Many practitioners were arrested in the last two months. It is said some were held out of town. Some of the practitioners who were arrested are Li Qi, Yin Chaoqun, Hu Xiaoyun, Tang Yan, Li Yiming, Zhou Zixian, and Wang Yunxiu.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] News After Ms. Piao Taishu’s Arrest

Ms. Piao Taishu’s family called a case officer and learned she was put into the Changchun City Detention Center for five days of detention. That means she should be released on June 15 or 16, 2024. Her family tried to call the detention center for confirmation, but the line was always busy.

9. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Li Yuzhen and Two Other Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Li Yuzhen, in her 70s, Ms. Zhang Fengxiu, in her 80s, and Ms. Xiao, nearly 80, live in Hongdu Residential District. Someone reported them when they talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on June 12, 2024. More than ten officers went to Ms. Li’s home on the morning of June 13. Her oldest daughter stopped them in front of the door. Her youngest daughter went with her to the police station that afternoon. Officers forced her to sign papers before she was released. That same day, five officers went to Ms. Xiao’s home. She was taken to the police station, and was forced to sign papers before she was released.

10. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Ruping Held Over Ten Hours by Police

Mr. Liu Ruping of Changqing District took a bus around 9:00 a.m. on May 13, 2024. Three plainclothes officers from the Changqing Domestic Security Division arrested him and put him into a confinement room in the Xincheng Police Station. He was released around 10:00 p.m. 

11. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Duozhuang Town Practitioners Harassed

Duozhuang Town Police Station officers harassed several local practitioners at their homes around June 3, 2024. They questioned them and took pictures or video or voice recordings. Some of the practitioners who were harassed included Wu Zengjian, Feng Guiqin, Duan Xianling, Sheng Yihua, Zhang Xuefeng, Mr. Gao and his wife.

12. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Xunhua Arrested and Released

Ms. Zhao Xunhua, who lives in Xinggong Village, Yongyang Town, was arrested by officers from the Yongyang Town Police Station and the Laishui County Police Department around 4:00 p.m. on June 13, 2024. They seized her personal items and took her to the police station. She was released that night.
