(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Sun Shuang from Fangshan District, 35, was arrested on November 22, 2023, and has been detained since then. She will be tried by the Fangshan District Court at 2 p.m. on June 17, 2024.
Ms. Wei Suwen from Xicheng District, 64, was arrested at her home by officers from the Xicheng District Police Department and from the West Chang’an Street Police Station on June 13, 2024.
Ms. Tian Lili was arrested by officers from the Xinfu Police Department on January 26, 2024. She is currently held in the Fushun City Detention Center. Her lawyer told her family a few days ago that she will soon be tried by the Dongzhou Court.
Several practitioners were arrested during a group arrest on May 11, 2024. Li Fengqing has been released. Ms. Ding Jinzhi is still detained in Shuihua City. Ms. Fu Jinling was fined 10,000 yuan. Meng (gender unknown) was fined 50,000 yuan.
Mr. Wang Xingjian from Songshan was arrested by officers from the Songshan Police Station on the morning of June 12, 2024. He is currently detained in the Linqu County Detention House.
Ms. Shang Shurong was arrested at home at 6 a.m. on May 10, 2024. Her home was ransacked and 10 Falun Gong books were confiscated. Ms. Shang was taken to the No. 3 Detention Center. She was pressured to sign a guarantee statement which she refused. She was released later that day.
Ms. Tao Xingyu from Tianfu New District, 76, was reported to police for distributing a truth clarifying flier and was arrested in 2023. Her home was then ransacked. Ms. Tao received a notice from the Zhonghe Court a few days ago, summoning her to court on June 21, 2024.
Mr. Sun Fuyi from Jiuduhe was harassed by officers from the Huangkan Police Station in early June 2024. The police confiscated two Falun Gong books, a USB drive and an amulet. Mr. Sun was taken to the police station for interrogation and was later released. He was taken to the police station again the next day but was later released.
Ms. Zhu Yuling was arrested at home on April 11, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She was released that evening. Ms. Zhu was taken away again the next day. She was later released on bail pending trial.
Ms. Liu Biqing was arrested on May 11, 2024. She was detained for 15 days and was released on May 20, 2024.
Ms. He Zeying, 80, was arrested at a fresh market on July 10, 2023. She was later released on bail pending trial. Her case was submitted to the Qilin District Procuratorate on May 28, 2024. She was summoned to the procuratorate on June 4, 2024, but she didn’t go.
