(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Yanqiu and Ms. Yang Dongmei Face Trial
2. [Huili City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested 
3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Nie Jing Arrested and Detained
4. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. He Qiuling Arrested and Detained
5. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qiu Hongmei and Ms. Li Hongli Arrested
6. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaofeng Arrested
7. [Taicang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Qin Yanqiu Arrested and Detained
8. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yang Zhifang Arrested
9. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Gu Changchun Arrested
10. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Bihua Arrested

1. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Yanqiu and Ms. Yang Dongmei Face Trial

Ms. Liu Yanqiu and Ms. Yang Dongmei was scheduled to be tried in the Xiantao City Court at 9 a.m. on May 31, 2024.

2. [Huili City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested 

Four practitioners, Ms. Luo Jiping, Mr. Zhao Guowei, Ma Xinli (gender unknown) and Ms. Ma Lingxian, were arrested in Huili City on the evening of May 18, 2024.

3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Nie Jing Arrested and Detained

Ms. Nie Jing was arrested at home by officers from the Zijing Police Station on April 24, 2024. She was placed under official arrest by the Linghai City Procuratorate on April 30, 2024.

4. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. He Qiuling Arrested and Detained

Ms. He Qiuling was arrested by officers from the Changle West Road Police Station in the Xincheng District on May 15, 2024. She is currently detained in the Xi’an City Detention Center.

5. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qiu Hongmei and Ms. Li Hongli Arrested

Ms. Qiu Hongmei and Ms. Li Hongli from Dongying City were arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong when they were visiting the Longji tourist site in Guangxi Autonomous Region. Their homes in Dongying City were ransacked by officers from Longji and from the Binhai District Police Department in Dongying. Their Falun Gong books and truth-clarifying materials were confiscated. Ms. Qiu’s daughter who works in Jinan City, received a harassing call from the police, demanding she cooperate with the investigation.

6. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaofeng Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiaofeng was arrested on the afternoon of May 20, 2024. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Taicang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Qin Yanqiu Arrested and Detained

Ms. Qin Yanqiu was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong and was arrested on May 20, 2024. She has been detained.

8. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yang Zhifang Arrested

Ms. Yang Zhifang from the Dianbai District, in her 70s, was arrested at her son’s home by several officers from Zhangjiabian Police Station in the Huoju Development Zone, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, on April 30, 2024. The police ransacked the home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, truth-clarifying materials, several thousand yuan in cash, multiple cell phones, etc. Ms. Yang was released on bail pending trial.

9. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Gu Changchun Arrested

Gu Changchun (gender unknown) from the Baijia Village of Qiaoniao Township, Taihe District, was arrested on May 19, 2024.

10. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Bihua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Bihua, 72, was arrested when she was in the farmer’s market on the morning of April 28, 2024. She was interrogated in the police station and body searched. The police didn’t find anything. She was released later.
