(Minghui.org) Falun Gong (Falun Dafa) practitioners in Belgium held activities in Brussels’ business center on July 20, 2024, the 25^th anniversary of the group’s peaceful resistance to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. Many people watched the Falun Gong exercise demonstration and signed a petition calling to end the CCP’s atrocities. Some showed great interest in Falun Gong, and some bought the book Zhuan Falun. 

The practitioners’ banners stated “Stop the 25-Year-Long Persecution of Falun Gong” and “EU Resolution Condemns CCP’s Organ Harvesting” in English, French, Dutch and Chinese. The persecution is still happening in China. According to reports on the Minghui website, 69 Falun Gong practitioners have died from the CCP’s persecution from January to June, 2024.

Paul and Hélène signed the petition calling to end the CCP’s persecution. Paul said he could see the danger of rising Communist ideology in Western societies. Hélène remarked, “The persecution is shameful. It must be stopped!”

After hearing that Falun Dafa is a great cultivation practice of the Buddha School, Paul and Hélène bought the book Zhuan Falun so they could learn more about the practice. Hélène said, “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are the best possible things. If everyone could follow them, we’d be on the right path.”

Bemet is interested in learning Falun Dafa.

Bemet, a teacher, followed along with the exercise movements on the illustrations provided and during the exercise demonstration. He told a practitioner that he wanted to try Falun Dafa. “It seems to have touched many things in my heart. I would very much like to learn it.” Bemet said he plans to join the Sunday group exercises and hopes more people oppose the persecution by practicing Falun Dafa.

Local resident Laura signed the petition and asked what else she could help with. A practitioner told her she could tell her friends and family about the persecution and ask her local government officials to help. She said she would.
