(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Guixian Faces Trial

Mr. Li Guixian, a retired teacher living in the Dadong District, was arrested by Beihai Police Station officers on May 10, 2024, when he was distributing Falun Gong flyers. He has since been placed under house arrest. His case was moved to the Dadong District Court on September 13, 2024.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Arrested in One Day

Ms. Sheng Xiangmei was arrested at home by four officers from Chaoyang Road Police Station around 7:30 a.m. on September 12, 2024. They ransacked her place and seized Falun Gong printouts. In addition to Ms. Sheng, four more practitioners were arrested that day, including Ms. Chen, Ms. Si, Ms. Lu, and a female practitioner whose name is unknown.

3. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Yanqiu Detained for Two Months and Counting

Ms. Chen Yanqiu of Gaoxin District was arrested on July 12, 2024. She has since been detained. Her husband has diabetes with multiple complications. Terrified by her arrest, he quickly lost weight and is now in serious condition.

4. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zeng Jie Detained

Ms. Zeng Jie, 51, was arrested in a high-speed railway station on September 5, 2024 for carrying Falun Gong flyers. Her home was ransacked. Her Falun Gong books, printouts, picture of the founder of Falun Gong, computer, printer, player, flash-drives, and other items were confiscated. She is being held in Zhongfang County Detention Center.

5. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yuan Junfeng Detained

Mr. Yuan Junfeng and his wife Ms. Hou Lihua were arrested in their shop by Yushu City Domestic Security Division officers at noon on June 28, 2024. Their shop and warehouse were ransacked. They were released, with Mr. Yuan on bail, after 9 p.m. that day.

Ms. Hou received a call from Domestic Security Division officer Yang Shucai on the morning of September 12, 2024 and was ordered to come to the police department to sign Mr. Yuan’s case document. Hours later, the police arrested Mr. Yuan and took him to the detention center. His family is now hiring a lawyer for him.

6. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Su Hualian Detained

Su Hualian, gender unknown, was arrested by more than 10 officers from Chikan District Police Department and Shawan Police Station on July 1, 2024. Su’s home was ransacked. Su is being held in in Zhanjiang City Detention Center.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Ying and Her Brother Mr. Zhang Xudong Detained

Ms. Zhang Ying, 55, and her younger brother, Mr. Zhang Xudong, 50, were arrested on September 7, 2024. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Zhang is being held in the Shenyang City First Detention Center. Mr. Zhang is being held in the Tiexi District Detention Center.

8. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Local Practitioners Harassed

Practitioners in Kenli District’s Kenli neighborhood were harassed at home by police on September 13, 2024. Officers took photos of them by force. Ms. Yin Aihua and Ms. Che Jing’e were among those being harassed.

9. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Chen Arrested and Home Ransacked

Chen of Kaifa District, first name and gender unknown, was arrested by Beicheng Police Station officers around September 3, 2024, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in a street market. The officers ransacked Chen’s home and seized Chen’s Falun Gong books.

10. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Fengjie’s Family Harassed

Ms. Sun Fengjie’s family was harassed twice by Wohongqiao Police Station community officer Cheng Jianguo in 2024. The persecution of her caused her husband to live under tremendous fear and he developed multiple serious medical conditions, including high blood pressure, cerebral hemorrhage, and other conditions.

11. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Wang Hongli Harassed

A female officer from the Yanjiang Police Station made a harass call to Wang Hongli’s family on September 12, 2024. She ordered Wang to send a photo of her to her cell phone. Wang rejected.
