Shen Yun’s Success in Such Trying Times is Something to Admire

(Minghui.org) As a corporate executive and head of production operations, I have sincere admiration for Shen Yun when I see that it has US$266 million in assets after years of overcoming so many obstacles in the challenging economy.

Three elements are essential for a company to survive: quality, innovation, and credibility. If these three elements cannot be secured, the company likely won’t survive in the complex competitive environment.

So, according to the New York Times, is Shen Yun’s $266 million too much? In my professional opinion, I don't think so. If I were running a company the size of Shen Yun, I would expect its assets to be around $3 billion. Why? Common sense! Under normal circumstances, and given Shen Yun’s innovativeness and quality, it could easily generate this kind of revenue.

It is unreasonable to assume that a person who runs a for-profit company must be lining their own pockets. A company’s development and operations are all about growing and making profits. If there is no income and no growth, there will be no innovation, renewal of infrastructure, or hiring of talent, and then the company may not be far from bankruptcy.

In this materialistic age, the only entities that can stand up to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)—the world’s largest terrorist organization—are Falun Gong and Shen Yun. These are the only two entities that expose the lies of the Chinese Communist Party, striking at its very core. This is why the CCP is mobilizing its agents overseas trying to shut down Shen Yun’s operation.

We should all aim to make Shen Yun bigger, richer, and stronger, so it can shine an even more powerful light on the CCP’s plots, instead of focusing on whether it makes “too much,” which falls right in line with the CCP’s agenda.

Shen Yun showcases the true essence of traditional Chinese Culture, which the CCP has spent the last 70 years trying to eradicate through endless campaigns. A two-hour Shen Yun performance shows the world what China was like before the CCP’s reign, and lays bare the CCP’s reprehensible behavior.

$266 million is hardly enough to run an organization the scale of Shen Yun. That figure is an indication that the company’s goal is not to amass money but to revive the 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture.

This is my understanding at my level. Please point out anything inappropriate.
