(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Liu Yuai went missing a few months ago. It was recently confirmed by Minghui.org that she was secretly sentenced and has been admitted to prison.
Ms. Dong Daoqun, a retiree from Yudong Dajiang Factory (formerly Qingjiang Machinery Factory) in Banan District, was arrested in January 2024 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Minghui.org recently confirmed that she has been sentenced to five years in prison.
Ms. Geng Lijuan was arrested on October 28, 2024, after being reported for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is now facing indictment after the police submitted her case to the Fumeng County Procuratorate.
Ms. Wu Lanying from Jigu Village was arrested on the afternoon of January 3, 2025, while on her way back from her farm field. The arresting officers from the Nantao Police Station took her to the Licheng City Detention Center.
Ms. Zhou (first name unknown) and Junzhi (last name unknown), both from Liugezhuang Village and over 70, were arrested on January 13, 2025 at Chahe Town Market in Fengnan District, by officers from the Chahe Town Police Station.
Ms. Liang Lanzhi was arrested when distributing informational materials about Falun Gong near Dakangzhuang, Anxin County on December 27, 2024. She was detained for ten days and released on January 5, 2025.
Lan Zongyou from Dongli Town, Chenghai District, was arrested on March 15, 2024, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in Yanhong Town, Chenghai District. Her arrest was approved by the Jinping District Procuratorate in mid-April 2024 and she was later sentenced to ten months by the Jinping District Court. She served time at the Shantou City Detention Center and was scheduled to be released on January 14, 2025.
Guo Xiantang was arrested on December 26, 2024, by officers from the Xintaizi Police Station in Tai’an County. Guo was first held in the Sanglinzi Lockup and transferred to the Sanglinzi Detention Center on January 1, 2025.
Ms. Qi Ling from Wuchang District was arrested on the evening of June 6, 2024, after being reported for talking to a delivery person earlier that day. The arresting officers from the Guandong Police Station ransacked her home. She is now detained in the Wuhan City First Detention Center. She has been indicted, and her case is now with the Hongshan District Court.
