(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners from different parts of Germany held rallies in two locations in the center of Erfurt, a central city in northern Germany on October 4, 2025. They introduced Falun Dafa and told people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution of practitioners in China. The event gained the attention of the local residents, and many people signed the petition as a show of support for the practitioners’ efforts to end the persecution.

Erfurt is the capital of the German state of Thüringen. Falun Dafa practitioners set up booths at the Fischmarkt and Anger Platz, where they demonstrated the exercises, played the waist drums and gave speeches.

“Standing Up to Help People Understand the Truth is Very Important”

The waist drum team’s bright yellow costumes and lively music attracted many passers-by, including Simon and his wife. Simon said, “Their performances are very attractive, and many people will stop to listen and learn about Falun Dafa.” He added, “Their presence here attracted attention. This is very important. Some people do not care about the things that are happening in the world so they did not know about the persecution. I feel that letting people learn about the criminal acts that are happening in the world, including this matter that is happening in China, is very important.”

Simon said he’s paid attention to the live organ harvesting in China for years, “Freedom of belief should be everyone’s right. Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance are very important.”

People Support Practitioners' Efforts to Expose the Persecution

Frank signed the petition to end the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa.

Frank and his wife were strolling through the Fischmakt and accepted a flier from a practitioner. After he briefly read it, Frank went to the booth and signed the petition. He said, “When I read about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners I could not believe such things are happening in modern-day China. This is a vast difference from the impression I had of China and it shocked me. People who understand what freedom is will do something to protect it.”

A young couple stopped to watch the waist drum performances but when a practitioner handed them a flier, they rejected it. The practitioner explained that millions of Chinese people have been cruelly tortured because of their faith and she explained what Falun Dafa is. Afterwards the couple asked to sign the petition that calls for an end to the persecution.

“It Is Time for Us to Return”

Michaele hopes that more people will stand up to object to the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa.

After Michaele signed both petitions, she said that she knew too little about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners, “I did not expect that so many people are persecuted in China and they are doing such large scale organ transplants. The CCP is controlling people. It’s good that practitioners [outside China] collect signatures to end the persecution. The German people should learn about the truth and take action.” She said she hopes more people can take a stand and object to this persecution. She also hopes the situation in China changes soon, so that people who live there can lead a truly free life.

Michaele agreed with Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, “Many spiritual paths have already disappeared. I am lucky that I belong to that generation which learned some values. We, in Germany, should also take this as a benchmark, and it is time for us to return.”
