(Minghui.org) A 71-year-old woman in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, was admitted to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on August 14, 2025, to serve a five-year term for her faith in Falun Gong.
Ms. Zhao Guiping was arrested on July 13, 2024, while chatting with another practitioner, Mr. Jin Xiaofeng, 65. The Dadong District Court sentenced both of them on March 31, 2025, giving Ms. Zhao five years with a 30,000-yuan fine, and Mr. Jin three years with a 10,000-yuan fine. Their appeals were rejected by the Shenyang City Intermediate Court on May 28, 2025. Mr. Jin was transferred to the Shenyang City First Prison on August 8, 2025.
Ms. Zhao was admitted to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on August 14, 2025. Her family visited her in early September 2025 but did not reveal to Minghui.org correspondents in which division she is being held.
Prior to her latest sentencing, Ms. Zhao was given two years in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in 2001 and sentenced to one year by the same Dadong District Court on May 16, 2016.
