(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Guo Jia, gender unknown, of Wuqing District, was arrested by Quanxing Road Police Station officers on September 3, 2025. Guo’s home was ransacked. Guo is being held in the Wuqing Detention Center. Guo was scheduled to appear in the Wuqing District Court on November 24, 2025.
Ms. Liu Zonglan filed a lawsuit against the social security bureau for unlawfully suspending her pension. The Heping District Court accepted her case and has scheduled a hearing for November 24, 2025.
Mr. Jiang Dexin was arrested by officers from Chengde City, Hebei Province, on October 26, 2024. He was tried by Chengde City’s Shuangqiao District Court on July 7, 2025 and later sentenced to nine year with a 20,000-yuan fine. He was admitted to the Tangshan City Fourth Prison on November 3, 2025 after losing his appeals.
Ms. Wang Xia was recorded by surveillance system while distributing Falun Gong flyers in Taihe Residential District on August 4, 2025. The development zone Domestic Security Division captain led officers to arrest her and ransack her home. Her Falun Gong books, printouts, and other items were confiscated.
The police ransacked her father’s home the next day and seized several Falun Gong books. They took her to the hospital and she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She was released on bail after her family paid 5,000 yuan.
Ms. Li Huixin and Ms. Sun Xiujuan were arrested on November 5, 2025 and released on November 16. During their detention, Wangdu County Police Department officers ransacked their homes, seizing all Falun Gong books, desk calendars, and printouts from Ms. Li’s home, and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong and a music player from Ms. Sun’s home.
Ms. Yang Xueping was sentenced to two years. She is scheduled to be released from Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on December 3, 2025.
After Ms. Sheng Guilan, 72, was sentenced, her husband had an operation and was harassed in the hospital. The police did not leave until a doctor stepped in and ordered them to get out. Her grandson was terrified by police harassment and suffered mental depression; his academic performance at school dropped quickly. Ms. Sheng’s son was not able to work normally as he had to take care of his son and father.
Ms. Quan Xiaoyan and Mr. Shang Gaochao were harassed at home by two officers from Xinshi Township Police Station on November 13, 2025. The officers took pictures of them against their will.
Ms. Xu Dongyu, 61, was arrested by Chaisang District Domestic Security Division officers in late October 2025. Her husband, son, daughter-in-law, and a friend of her husband were also arrested, although none of them practiced Falun Gong. She is being held in a hotel. Others were released.
